One of the drilling teams was from Colorado, and before the miners started being brought up, they went back home because they didn't want to take any of the focus off the miners themselves.

meece,i'm so relieved Matt is out of surgery fine, and is in the hotel by now. i know it didyour heart good to speak to him directly. i will continue to pray for his healing, and thank ou mighty God that you both held together well..i didn't mean to start a firestorm about johnny Barrios, and his web he weaved. i also feel bad for his wife. my ex cheated with everything that moved, and i sure woul've wanted to die to have it all on t.v.  it really was a hard way for her to find out, and then have it play out on t.v.  i guess that marriage isnt going to do too well now. i'd have been twisted, with my ex, even if he was cheating; i'm still grateful to God that they all got out..and he does have an oopurtunity to set his life in better order, and straighten up; but looks like not with his wife.!!EPH..i hope that your'e feeling better...light and love, 3jaysmom

Makes good cough drops, tea and syrup.  I haven't made anything from it yet.  It is hardy up to zone 7 and I am in zone 5 or 6.  I will have to put a lot of mulch on it to protect it this winter.

    Good Morning, GOD IS GREAT!

After nearly three years, I got a call early this morning, I am going to be a Grandma!  Please pray that they are able to keep this pregnancy.  They are so excited!!!!  I know they wouldn't be where they are right now without devine intervention.  God has worked through their fertility specialists to bring a new life into theirs.

    Amen.

DIL has had a tough childhood and I want this to bring such joy.  She will be 28 when the bambino arrives.  Too funny that originally, she said if she wasn't pregnant by 26 she didn't want to have a baby because she'd be too old.  God works wonders giving us that mothering instinct and changing our minds once we give it over to Him.

Oh Meece, I will certainly keep this little one in my prayers.  At one point in my life not too many years ago, I had let go of the dream of having a grandchild.  Mine is also on the way.  They will have an ultrasound this week and we will find out if it is a boy or girl.  BC has taken a chunk out of our lives, but God is putting it back together in such a wonderous way.  Congratulations, Grandma.

thank you.  I can't wait to hear what you are getting.  DS has gone from wanting only girls a few years ago, to a boy, a year and a half ago, to a baby  to raise now.

Wow..thanks so much for this topic! I am a newbie here...this site is wonderful. I'm a Christian (this time "for real") and I am so happy to have found a post that is both Christ based and so beautiful with all the amazing pictures. Thank you so much again!

My DS is just so excited. We spent part of yesterday with them.  He ran around playing with the two "steps" chasing them with my DH.  The little ones laughed and squealed with delight.  DS just wants a healthy baby with a healthy mom, too.  He is proposing to her in mid November @ Cinderella's castle @ Disney world.  He has it all arranged with the Disney staff.  How I wish I could be a fly on the wall to watch this.  The little ones will be there with them when it happens. Now I'm just praying they will marry prior to the baby being born.

    Hi All,

Took this picture in my garden yesterday morning.  The handiwork of God!  I certainly only watered and fed them!  Since I can't figure out how to copy/paste into the message, I changed my avatar.

Welcome, Smiling Spirit, blazer45, and pagowens.  If you are using Internet Explorer and you have found a picture you like on the internet, you can use the little tree icon in the taskbar here on the post a reply box.  Go to the full sized view of the picture, and copy the image url code, and paste it in the appropriate box in the "Tree" box.  Then click insert.

If you are using your own photos, I use Photobucket.  I upload them there, then get the url code from it, and paste it into that box.

     Hope this helps.

I wish I knew.  He hasn't called lately.  I assume he is back in Okinawa by now.  Yesterday was one week since surgery.  It is so difficult to not be able to call him and to have to wait for his calls.  He doesn't have internet while he's traveling so I can't email him.  YUK!!!

I have something to mention here, because it is so sad.

On another thread (One for a specific dx) a woman mentioned that she recommended that if a stage IV woman didn't already have a church, she might consider finding one for support.  In response there were voices of offense.  These voices also expressed the offense of having someone to offer prayers for them.  I stood up and said I wouldn't appologize for my faith.  I could not believe how these women felt there was no place for prayer comments in our posts.  So sad that some of these women said the were women of faith but they do not need to mention it.  I always feel that saying you will pray for someone was a way of encouragement.

Let's continue to be prayer warriors on behalf of ALL our BC Sisters.

Meece, I saw some of that going on and it got pretty fierce.  We have all been in a fight for our lives.  I often wonder how those who have a very limited faith belief system manage during these "midnight hours."  I do not and will not push my beliefs on anyone and respect them as individuals to do what they need to, but I always pray for them whether they know it or not and believe my life is a testimony to them of what I've been through and where I've come.  I've had many tell me they've watched me from afar and wonder how I do it.  I use that as my lauching pad to share my faith.  God is so infinitely wise in how He orchestrates things--I've learned to just let lots of things go if I truly trust Him to care for others and situations.  But I will NEVER apologize to anyone for my beliefs and will pray for those whether they like it or not.

By the way, my new grandbaby is a boy - saw it on the ultrasound.  God is so very good.

    Meece,

Thank you for inviting me here.  Whew!  What a breath of fresh air it is from the last BCO group I was in.  All of the pictures and graphics are beautiful and so comforting and affirming of the grace and beauty in God's world.

I noticed your diagnosis date for Triple Negative was 2003.  Have you been recurrence free from Triple Negative since 2003?  Oh my goodness, Praise God for that.  Since I'm Triple Negative, I always take great comfort in God's goodness when I see a Triple Negative so far out from diagnosis and being recurrence free.  That is what we all pray for.

Since I'm new, I am a professing, praying Christian woman of 59 years of age.  I have been happily married for almost 40 years.  We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren that blesses us daily.  Our daughter is gay and lives on the east coast with her partner and their 2 adopted children.  My husband and I love her unconditionally as we are commanded to do, and leave the rest of it up to God.  Our son and wife live locally with their 2 1/2 year old.  I was keeping her 5 days a week until I got this awful diagnosis and surgery on Aug. 9, 2010.  I had to give her up, and she now goes to a private day care home, because I couldn't take care of myself and her.  I am now in chemo with my 4th A-C coming up next week, and then will have 12 Taxol to be followed by 33 total radiation treatments.  I am, as mentioned, Triple Negative.

My husband while healthy for the most part, and continues to work at his job, has a rare blood clotting disorder and is under medical care for it.  In the midst of dealing with it, which his Hematologist (who is also my Oncologist) says there is no cure for, only the hope to manage it, we found out his arteries in his legs are closing P.A.D. and he will retest for that on November 10.  Please pay for Lynn that his arteries will be stable and we won't be faced with anything with him surgery wise (really for ever) at least while I am in the middle of chemo.  His Vascular specialist has told us surgery for him is extremely high risk because of the blood clotting disorder.

Praying you all have a beautiful afternoon and evening in the Lord and I feel reborn being here on this forum after the last few days.  God is Good!

    Love, faith, hope, prayers,

    Juanita

I know that many of the ladies on the other threads that I talk to are not religious at all.But no one has ever let me know that a prayer on their behalf was ofensive.

I started to take an excerpt from one of the posts and insert it here, but I thought that this place is not the place to bring that ugliness.  We just need to be good examples.

I agree, let's keep this a good place to come.

I too have encountered ugliness and attacks on this site because I am a Christian and others are not, although some that have attacked me for my faith "claim" to be Christians! Others are proud to proclaim they are athiests and agnostics. I don't understand any of them nor will I try any longer.  I can't dwell on that and I refuse to let them and Satan (who is directing all of their attacks) steal my joy!

God bless all who are on this thread today. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice. Thank you Holy Spirit for interceding for us. To You will all the honor and glory be given!

Psalm 91 is good to read today!

    Thank you!
