"dorfar" Passed on 10/9/110
I am Dorothy's sister in law. I wanted her freinds and supporters here to know that she lost her fight on 10/9/10 due to respitory failure and ultimately heart failure. Her cancer had metastisized from brain to bone to liver and about a month ago to her lungs. They couldn't figure out why she was having such trouble breathing since it was not bad enough to cause the trouble.
She also had a lot of trouble post stem cell transplant at MDA in Houston. Post high dose chemo and much suffering the cancer returned with a vengence.
She remained so hopeful to the end. It was difficult to keep her on therapeutic chemo since her counts were touch and go. We really feel like certain chemo's contributed to her ultimate issues and quick passing.
Dr. Cristifinilli (sp) from Fox Chase in PA was such a wonderful help. Although we felt we found him too late to help.
She always said that she was thankful for her supporters on this board. She fought this diesese for about 2 years and died much too young at 36.
Her family is left suffering and wishing we could have done more. Thank you all for your loving support. It's hard to console someone when you, yourself are not in there place. I feel she had so much hope because of your loving support.
Her Obituary can be found here. http://www.lupobituary2.lupinskifuneralhome.com/
God Bless you all in your fight.

I'm so sorry. And thank you for posting the link. Seeing the beautiful, young face behind the screen i.d. is incredibly sobering. As others have said, she was much too young. Deanna

OMG, I can;'t even believe this happened so quickly. I knew she had been diagnosed with brain mets, but I did not know about the liver or lungs. I am in total shock. I had just been thinking about her and wondering how she was doing. Prayers and hugs to her family and peace for Dorothy.
