Chicago
I have tears of joy streaming down my face for you.
I am just soooooooo happy for you!

I couldn't Be HAPPIER for you!!!!! I have been watching your thread since you began your nightmare journey......In fact .... I told my therapist about you today...I said if you come back with NO bone mets...which by the way made the most sense considering your dx, I will not be able to come to this sight...I get to involved, and feel like everything that everyone is going through, is me.......or will be me....(I am so freaked out about bone mets) Being a hypochondriac all my life, and having gone through bc...just is not a good mix.....So Chigaco-37...I will leave KNOWING that you are well..take care of that slipped disc...xoxoxox to you and your husband!!! Chicago - congratulations! So glad you got good news - and what a great oncologist you have to call you on a Sunday!

I am so delighted to hear this news Chicago, I think I can feel your relief from over here! Fabulous - you keep on enjoying this wonderful feeling!
Big hugs, Sue x

Went to the Neuro-Surgeon today. We will try a conservative approach, but he believes I will need surgery in a matter of time. Trying to decide if I should do surgery now, or see if therapy helps.... the headaches have been bad, but trying to get through it since it's relatively good news.

Chicago
I just wanted to say you were in my thoughts and prayers all weekend! My heart broke for you since you were waiting so long for results...I am sooo happy your results are b9!!

Hugs and best wishes for your herniated disc. -
Glad you got to see the neuro doc so soon too! I too would do the conservative approach. My boss has had the surgery done on two areas of his back, one was the neck as well and his lay-up and recovery was pretty darn quick and he feels really good.
I only pray that the next one of us to go through a horrible period as you did will remember, although I must admit, it is a very difficult thing to do when wracked with tremendous fear and doom, but this certainly shows all of us that no matter how gloomy and dismal things can look before we actually get all the facts - there still can be a happy ending. Happy in that it's not cancer. God, isn't it just amazing how this beast of a disease has changed us all - happy to have any other disease - just don't let it be cancer.
Again, Chicago, your relief was and is ALL OF OURS too!

OH my goodness! I Just saw this now after following the thread - you were in my prayers as I followed your thread of your thoughts, results and fears - I kept trying to comprehend your fear and anxiety and it just broke my heart. THANK you Lord! Hard to believe a herniated disc would be good news, but it is! I wish you the best in treatment!

Just wanted to post and say that I had my herniated disc removed and a spacer put in (ACDF). Just one more piece of me removed.
I feel like I have cuts everywhere from surgeries now. -I think I'll put off the fibroid removal that I was planning so I can preserve some of my flesh....damn Tamoxifen made it grow quickly.- But I am starting to feel better. I can't wait for the pain to go away altogether. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
