@0 months out and have thigh and hip and rib pain

I guess I am a bit freaked these pains are new. I have never had a bone scan, are they scary?

I had a double masectomy with reconstruction plus four rounds of chemo. I am now on Tamoxifen. Should I be worried? I am new here and so glad I found this place. Any info would be helpful, thanks I meant to say 20 months out in my topic title. I can't seem to change it.

    It looks like we have a very similar DX and we were dx just a couple weeks apart. I had mx, 4 rounds of AC and have been on Tamoxifen. I get a lot of bone, hip and joint aches and I have heard from others that it is quite common with Tamoxifen. Some get bone pain right away and others get it several months later. Having said that, it is always best to get things checked and not assume that it's medication related.  I have had two bone scans due to pain and everything is clear. Every ache and pain we get makes us worry...that's normal. A bone scan is easy, not scary and painless.

    Hi D4Hope!  I really am just echoing what pickle141 (Beth) just said...Tamoxifen may be what's causing the pain.  I had some rib pain, but scan looked fine.  Bone scans are a breeze...I almost fell asleep laying there Smile

    Just to be sure, though, get it checked out.

    Thanks for the replies. I am sure it is the Tamoxifen but you never know I will have it checked out as I have an onco appointment next week
