I have an appt with my family Dr for 21st of Oct.  I will call everyday to see if there is a cancellation to get me in sooner.

I can't seem to find any resources for London, Ontario, Canada.  I need a referal from my Dr first.  Also - this rash hasn't improved and it hasn't gotten any worse either.  It's itchy here and there - but not bad.  No pain, no swelling.  I do have pictures but I can't seem to get them to load.

I am soooo worried.  I don't know what to do right now.  What if it is?!  Everything I have read seems horrible and basically says you won't live past 2-5 years?!

Then I read it could just be "a rash".....honestly I am so worried.

Would IBC respond to Fucidin cream or any anit fungal cream?!  Or would it just delay diagnosis?!  What the heck should I do?!  I am so scared right now.

Inflammatory breast cancer usually starts with the reddening and swelling of the breast instead of a distinct lump. IBC tends to grow and spread quickly, with symptoms worsening within days or even hours. It's important to recognize symptoms and seek prompt treatment. Although inflammatory breast cancer is a serious diagnosis, keep in mind that treatments today are better at controlling the disease than they used to be.

are these your symptoims? If so your doctor must see you immediately and would if you described the symptoms to the nurse. I usually go to the Breastcancer.org website for all my information or the Mayo Clinic. These will give you insight not speculation. Take care and if you are still worried do see another doctor.

    Hi there,

I am from a small town near London (Mitchell). A couple of weeks ago I had some new symptoms appear overnight so I was trying to get in to see my surgeon right away to look at it. He was not available so my husband called St. Joe's in London. They said to go right in to their Urgent Care centre in the hospital to be seen. They said the wait could be 1 or 2 hours but that they would assess me and possibly have me see a breast specialist that day.

I didn't end up going as I was able to get to my family doctor in Stratford to have it all documented. I would suggest calling St. Joe's (not sure who my husband spoke to) and tell them of your concerns and that you can't get an appt right away. See what they say.

Good Luck....let me know how you make out!

Karamarie - thank you!  I am not far from London (Strathroy) 30 mins.  I can go to St. Joes.  I didn't think they would take me seriously there, but glad to hear that they seemed to.  Whew.  Thank you so much!

    Were your symptoms like mine?!

Definately give them a call, let them know what your symptoms are and tell them you are worried about IBC. I'm sure this will grab attention and they will tell you to come in. I'd call first though just to be sure where to go ( I think that hospital is as big as the town I live in lol)

I started with pain and then went for a mamm and ultrasound and then about 2-3 weeks after that my left breast swelled almost a full cup size. I have since felt like I am a nursing mom and get the 'let down' feeling, I get shooting pain to my nipple and always have a heavy, ache now. This seems to be my new normal. When we called St. Joe's it was because a quarter of my breast had turned pink and looks 'different'. I think it's hard to see skin changes as I have some soft stretch marks from babies.I also have a very itchy breast! I just had a ct scan last Friday (haven't got my results) and have to go for another mamm on Wed (not sure I like this idea). I hope you get somewhere by calling St. Joe's. I swear by them and had all my children there instead of Stratford. They have some excellent resources!

Keep in touch....it's nice (in a not-so-good way) to see someone on here from the same area!
