Wow...I thought we all went our separate ways...Hi Rose...Hi Linda...hi to everyone else too!

I'm on a well deserved vacation, from Alaska, and I wish I didn't have to go back, but I guess I need to!  I've been visiting my dad, stepmother, brother and high school friends, which has been so much fun!  One of my friends organized a get together for the classes of the 80s, and he says he organized it just for me, since Alaska's a whole world away!  I had so much fun, and I'd have to say, that made my whole summer, if not the year!

Thankfully, I've had good check/follow ups, with my onc.  My mom and I will be going back to Anchorage, the beginning of August.

I hope y'all are enjoying your summer(s)?  Take care and God Bless each and everyone of y'all!

Good afternoon, y'all...I'm gonna be bold and ask who's on FaceBook here, since Linda mentioned it?  I am, if y'all would like to be friends there!

Rose, would you care to trade places, when winter comes around?  I know when I go back, the mosquitoes will probably be coming out, if they're not out already?

Okay, well, I'm out for now!  Y'all have a BLESSED afternoon, and I'm gonna say it...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, to y'all too!

Hey Rose!  I will take summer anyday!!  Even this crazy hot summer, as long as I have air conditioning!  I hate winter.  To long and cold!!!

I hope you are doing well too.  The kids keep my busy every single day.  I'm off to have my mammo on friday so am a bit anxious about that, but hoping it's nothing to worry about.

    Thanks for checking in!

Good morning, y'all!!!  How's everyone doing?

Well, I just got back from my yearly mammogram, and I should've gotten a Zometa treatment, BUT my teeth are not in the best condition to get a treatment???  I told my onc. that I was having pains in my jaw, and that's when he sent me to the dental clinic straight away!!!  I found out from the dentist; I have a 'couple' of cavities, and there's nothing wrong with my jaw...I need to get my teeth fixed before I go back for my next round of Zometa, but from what I understand, it's going to take a lifetime, to get a dental appointment in Bethel!!!

Also, I just started taking an A.I. (Femara aka letrozole), and I'm JUST NOT FEELING IT!!!  The S.E.s started right away, and I hate to say it, but it almost feels like I'm taking a round of chemo!!!  I truly hope these S.E.s go away, pretty damn quick!!!

Other than that, the fishing season will be coming to a close soon, and the berries should be ready for picking in the next couple of weeks...which could only mean one thing...and it's something I dread...winter...yeesh..yeesh and DOUBLE yeesh!!!

I hope y'all are doing well!!!  Take care and God Bless!!!

Hello to all!  I was originally princess S and part of the original crew that went through treatment together 2 yrs ago.  Can't believe it's been 2 yrs!  How is everyone?  I have moved from AZ to TX.  Just thinking of everyone as we celebrate 2 yrs.  Hope all is well with y'all.  Since I just moved to TX I need to find doctors which gives me anxiety since I love, love, loved my drs in AZ.  It's like starting all over and telling someone the story from beginning *sigh*  I'm running in the Race for the Cure this Saturday & will be thinking of everyone.  I don't come to this sight very much anymore but I am reminded especially this month to visit.  Take care everyone!

    Hi Steph,

Nice to hear from you!!  Me too I can't believe its been over two years now. I just got another good mammo report.

I completely understand your anxiety about having to explain to a new dr. about your medical history - try different drs. until you find the right one that understands and is knowledgeable. .

That's wonderful that you are a runner. Hope you had a wonderful race. I know I would be last! - ha!!

    Take care, Hugs

Congrats on your race Steph!!  I wish I could run!

Nice to see you Rose, too.

And to all the original BCO sisters that went through this with me, Congrats on the 2 year mark!

Rose 47 & Makraz, so good to see some familiar names.  Congrats on the good mammo report!  Just an update on the Race for the Cure, I WON THE SURVIVORS DIVISION!  I ran the 3 miles in 28.21 minutes.  So happy to beat the heck out of Cancer's ass then win the race!

I was on a high from the race & then the next week I was denied health insurance.  UUgggghhh!  So now I have an appt w/a gyno to pay out of pocket and get the order so I can get a mammo and get checked.  It's been a year in Dec. since my last mammo.  What a headache all this insurance stuff is being denied.

Hope to hear from all the rest of the original BCO sisters Oct 08.  2 years already, wow!

I'm doing very well, thanks! Moved into my new home about a month ago...still moving things over from my family home, but the necessities are here. The usual aches and pains from growing old (I had a major birthday just a few days ago...one with a zero at the end), but we're not a group to complain about getting older, are we?
