3 periods in one month is this normal when they return?

hi ladies,

i got my period back on the 8th of sept, finished it the 12th, started again on the 17th finished it on the 24th (quite heavy flow), then yesterday was spotting again and getting heavier today. did this happen to anyone else when your periods returned? i am 36 and had trible negative bc, on no birth control or hormone supressents.. i realise that my hormones are all over the place and will take a while to settle down, but i thought it would be irregular as in a period every few months but not three in the one month. any help or suggestions welcome.
