pain with axillary lymph mets/please respond

I am 5 yrs out with stage 2B.  My tumor was just under 5 cm; I had lymph involvement,one had "burst' but they were not yet fused.  I had BL mastectomies, lots of chemo.  Have been waking past couple of days to feel sharp yet diffuse pain under affected side when I lift or move my arm in a certain way.  It lasts all day but is worse in AM. As a nurse, this sounds like fibers tearing, either from scar tissue or metastatic fusion.  Seeing MD tomorrow.  Any one experience this?  Advice?  Thanks so much; am ging crazy here.  Pam

    Hi Pam, sorry you are experiencing this and getting it checked out is probably the best thing you could do as it will rule out everthing and put your mind at ease.  The thought that crossed my mind was the start of Lymphodema as that was how mine started.  Hope you get some answers soon.

    i would have to say that under my arm where incision...rads...etc...has it painful moments from time to time. i don't have lymphadema..(keeping fingers crossed) but there are differenct times where there is some pain...and some issues. it usually resolves itself. my onc always checks the area and so do i lookinf for any abnormalities. 

     anytime something isn't riight...or there is pain or thickening..it is very scarey and a trip to oncologist is warrented. hope you will be fine...and get some information on this. hang in there
