Bump on inner thigh near pubic bone

Options

Please help me calm down a little if you can.  I finished chemotherapy in October of last year after BMX TCx4.  And have been on Tamoxifen for nearly a year.

I have ankle pain daily which I told myself was due to chemo and Tamox.  Lower pack pain from working too hard and headaches from stress.

Tonight while shaving in the shower I noticed a bump on my inner thigh very close to the bikini area.  It is under the skin and is not red or inflamed like an ingrown hair.  In fact there is no discoloration at all.  It is tender to the touch and about the size of pea.  Is that where our lymph nodes are?  Should I be concerned?  Because I am freaking out right now.

I have taken the Tamoxifen and did all of the chemo.  They took my breasts now this?  Could it really be?  If any of you have had this or have any advice for me please let me know.  I would really appreciate it.

Thank you so much.

I went to the gyno about the same thing this year and she said that while it is lymph nodes there, they can get inflamed and that alot of women have this happen.  For a completely unrelated reason, I have had a pelvic ultrasound since then and everything was fine.  She told me not to worry.  I would maybe have it checked by your doc just for your own peace of mind.  I know once we have the bc dx the words "don't worry"  are kind of comical, because it just isn't that easy.  However, I would just keep and eye on it and see if it goes away on gets smaller.  In the meantime, make an appt with your ob/gyn and hopefully he/she can put your mind at ease.  Keep us updated.  Take Care.  Allison
