    Hello Ladies,

This is my first posting and I just joined the discussion board. Many of your postings have helped me get through my diagnosis and I thank all of you! We are all brave and courageous women!  I want to know if any other women have had a similar experience with their cancer treatment especially as a triple negative. I am Triple Negative and decided to have Neo Adjuvant Chemotherapy first for breast conservation after much research. I had 4 rounds of A then 12 rounds of TC. Mid way through my treatment it appeared that my turmor  6cm or larger was shrinking. I had a breast ultrasound and the tumor shrunk significantly to 1.2cm. At the end of my treatment in June 10, I requested that it be checked again. They couldn't find any signs of the tumor in the breast ultrasound. I went ahead with surgery, reluctantly and they did not find any cancer! So, now I am doing radiation reluctantly but as of today I have had 10 sessions and decided to have my last one today instead of 5 weeks of radiation, of course against their wishes.

During my treatment I had my Vitamin D levels checked and I was way deficient. I began taking D3, Miatake Mushroom in vitamin form, a Probiotic, and Calcium- Mag and continue to this day. My general M.D. prescribed me 50,000 iu of Vitamin D3 because my levels were up-but still low in Aug 10, so I take that 1 time per week.  I also did acupuncture and yoga once a week during my whole treatment. As of now I am working on weight loss I am about 25 lbs overweight. At this time I have not done Yoga or acupuncture for almost 2 months and I can feel a significant difference in energy, well being, more body ache, more neuropathy sensations, feet ache.

I want to know if any Triple Negatives have experienced tumors shrinking  and disappearing after chemo treatment. Please post your experiences. Thank you and have a beautiful day!

My tumors were gone. I had 4 rounds a/c and 4 taxol.  After the chemo, I had a MRI and also mamm

gram and ultra sound. No signs of tumors.  Had the surgery  (bilateral mx)and the 33 rounds of radiation.

I asked why all the radiation...he said, it was like weeding your yard, you may think you got all the weeds but there could be one little one there. Same thing with cancer cells, you may think they are gone but there may be one hiding.

    Hi

I was diagnosed in 2005 with an 8cm tumour  in left breast and a 3cm tumour in axilla. I had chemo first (4 x ac, 4 x taxatere) and then had a unilateral mastectomy, then 23 radiation sessions. I had a complete pathological response to chemo as there was no evidence of cancer cells at the time of surgery. I was hesitant about radiation but was told that there was evidence to suggest that it would increase my chances of survival.
