Joan way cool you are onto rads.  I did get the rad onc referral today.  Of course, I had to stop the BS and remind him of what my final pathology report actually said because he initially told me "you don't need radiation if you don't want to - you only had 3 malignant lymph nodes".  Luckily I took a copy of the final path report with me and it clearly indicates 4.  Anyway, the rad onc office already called me and scheduled the consult.  Told me not panic that I would more than likely need radiation based on their review of the path report.    Tomorrow is my annual GYN appointment.  I am going to be doctor poor this week.  LOL

Anyway, have a good week my sisters and keep fighting!

I am not suprised you had trouble with your surgeon. I am soo glad you stood up for yourself!  It seems like cancer would be bad enough without having to get people to remember you!

I had similar trouble with a doc.  Have decided to change all my treatments over to where I am getting rads.  It was interesting that they took picture of my face during rads which they will use to identify me before treatment and gave me a sort of blue plastic key I am to hand in at the desk when I come in and take home when I leave.  I have no idea if this is the norm but I wish my old place had something like this.  Maybe that Onc would have remembered me.

Hang in there we seem to be heading into the final stretch!

Glad to hear everyone seems to being doing well and moving right along in there treatments!!! :D Keep it up!!! Had my 2nd opinion appts today. Ugh. Now I have more ?'s rather than answers. Been having a bit of a rough time lately. Got shingles over the weekend (NO FUN) and found out my grandmother has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Seriously. I hate the f#$%ing disease. I hate what it's done to my family. I hate what it's done to myself.

Welcome Tammy-  Glad you are here.  Welcome!

I saw alot of people from work on Friday.  I am aiming to return to work mid October.  But, rads people reserve the right to make me stop working if my blood counts get too low.  I am an assistant at an elementary school.  I will be working in a first grade classroom which will be a germ zoo!

Colleen-  Not only is your Grandma a strong woman.  But you are too!  What you ladies are going through seems deeply unfair.  I am sending you love and prayers.

McSuschi - well I have to tell you your Grandmother sounds like an amazaing woman!  What a woman of strength!  I agree she deserved a pass on this one.  We will keep you both in our pryaers.

Sandiddstn - you can do do it.  Hang in there!  Take that ativan as you need it and keep remembering one step in front of the other.  You are going to be on the other side of this in no time.

Hi all ! I chat with some of you on other threads but I wanted to stop in here to say Hi.

Two weeks out from my last Taxol and feeling much much better.  Still have neuropathy in fingers and feet and noticed my feet burning today as I took a 30 minute walk for the first time in ages.  My mouth is still odd.  A littel sore and things don't always taste right but much better.

Doing some house cleaning since I have neglected it for 6 months and expect won't do much once I am back to work and doing rads.  Now think I will return to work mid October.  Would like to get a flu shot first.

Daughter turns 16 next week and gets her learners permit.  ACK!

Hope everyone is well.  Haven't heard from mcsushi in awhile.  Hope you are OK!

    Joan
