    Thanks for starting this, was just wondering if I should as I got to know today that will be starting rad on 6th Oct.It's going to be 33 rad so am quite scared, plus started on Tamoxifen 5 days back so really feel stressed out.

    About the cream, my onc. suggested Lubriderm or any aloe vera=based cream.

    All the best to you-talking about this will help us, am sure of that.

    I am starting rads on Sept 30th..33 treatments.  Had CT scan and tatoo's yesterday.  Doc said to use a cream called radiaplex.  They sell it at the doc's office at cost for 17.00 for 6 oz.  He gave me a script but said some insurances will pay for it but for whatever reason they may not because it is considered a "durable item" like a walker would be.  Luckly, my mother-in-law has a new  tube that she did not use when she went thru rads, so I will use her's first.

    FYI--be careful money wise...spoke with insurance...if rads doc office bills the rads treatment as office visit than I have to pay the 25.00 co pay for each visit which will equal around 825.00 (33X25).  If they bill it as a outpatient facility then no co pay.  I am calling the rads office today to see how they will bill it.

    I had my CAT scan yesterday. I am going for my dry run October 1 and my first day is October 4. The doctor  told me I will be getting a prescrption for a cream on Friday. Will keep everyone posted. I was told to use Tom's natural deodorant  or Crystal Rock.

    MHP70.....so glad you started this thread. It will be nice for any of us that make our way over here from the July chemo thread.

    I have my cat scan October 6th. Supposed to be starting rads late October for 5 1/2 weeks. Here's wishing us all well on the next step of the journey!

    I started an Oct 2010 rads thread as well...we need to combine them...not sure how to go about that.
