Capsaicin causes cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis...(in breast cancer)  (click on that to link to info in a journal called "Oncogene" on nature.com)

This looks very interesting so I thought I'd share! I can't afford to buy the article --- has anyone read about this, as to how much capsaicin and how effective?  (I would have looked for more info before posting this but I have to read up on other topics right now...)

Wow!  The article had too many big words for me! (lol)  But what I did understand, seem very promising. Thanks for sharing.

Oh dear, I hate it when this happens: capsaicin can also act as a carcinogen! Skin creams with this ingredient may increase risk of skin cancer...  (see story there referring to info in "Cancer Research" journal)...

Well, it looks like (googling capsaicin cancer) it might promote some cancers (stomach, skin) and possibly fight off others (prostrate, breast)... hey, it sounds like real chemo!

TO BE CLEAR, I don't think eating lots of capsaicin is wise...  But we can hope the researchers continue making helpful progress!  Meanwhile, "everything in moderation"...
