Prayers for BethAus

Many of you will remember BethAus from the chat rooms. Her daughter posted on FB last night that they were preparing to say goodbye to Beth. I don't want to misquote but there was information about the cancer spreading again, I believe to the cranial stem (I don't have access to FB from work so I can't go back and check). It's even possible that dear Bethie has already passed. In either event, prayers for Beth and her family are surely called for. I was lucky enough to meet and hang out with Beth and her daughter Mary Beth in Las Vegas a few years ago, so this is a bit harder than some others. Hugs to you all.

I was lucky enough to meet Bethie at KellyC's partay (that was a typo, but I'll leave it, since Kelly wrote "Pahtay" in the invite)... back in January of 2009... Bethie, Julie (Cuddles) and Watson came to New York for the weekend...
This is very sad. Hugs to all of Bethie's loved ones.
(Beth's name here on the Discussion Board was first Ausborn and then AusAla)
-
thanks Ann - I was trying to remember AusAla and couldn't think of it for the life of me! I remember seeing the pics from that party - I was insanely jealous 'cause I had just met Beth, Julie and Watson a few months before that and so wanted to see them again.
-
Marlegal, I feel so bad and sad. I can not log into the chat room since I switched to Comcast, BCO has been working on it and it worked for 2 days then stopped. I miss you guys. I am on FB as you know.
I had the honor also on meeting with Beth in Vegas she will be sadly missed when she dwells in the house of the Lord.
-
Marlegal,
I am so sad to hear this.Aus and her family are in my prayers.

Beth's daughter Mary Beth posted earlier this morning that Bethie is still fighting. Her organs are shutting down, but that fighter spirit that's kept her going for 8 years against odds is still battling. Her doctors offer no hope, but they also thought she wouldn't make it through the night, so ....
-
thank you for the updates....I am praying for Aus' peace.

Just asking our dear Lord to be with Beth and her family. I did chat with her a few times and she was nothing short of delightful.
In Love & Light,
Carol

Thanks for the updates Mary. I hadn't read anything new today..Praying for her peace. She's a brave fighter. God Bless her.
-
Praying for Beth and her family also.

Another post from MaryBeth during the middle of the night said that every now and then Beth would raise her eyebrows at something MB said, or wiggle her toes. How cute is that? If you've met her, can't you just picture Beth doing that?? No real hope, she just doesn't seem to want to let go yet. Is it horrible of me to wonder whether her family has given her permission to let go? This is just so painful

-
Hi just cheking in to see updates for Aus. Praying that she is peaceful and is comfortable. Gosh this is sad!!
hugs
-
Hi haven't heard anything..how is Aus??
-
Mar, Thanks for the update. It is not horrible of you to think her family may not have given her permission to go. I remember the first time dealing with loss when the Hospice person suggested that and I thought, "Oh Dear, I couldn't possibly do that". I was still too young and afraid. but have grown now and I am so aware of the importance of being able to set our loved ones free. It may be just Beth is in need of. With my brother we needed to leave him alone. I whispered in his ear, "We are going to go get some sleep, will see you in the morning... if you want to go be with Jesus, it is OK." He passed a few hours after we left him.
In Love & Light with Prayers and. peace to Beth and her family.

MaryBeth's posts on FB today talked about how apparently Beth doesn't like to be told when she's going to die!! She's on heavy IV drip and it's just a matter of when, not if. That child has an attitude to be hoped for by lesser mortals!!! I can't check FB during work hours, but as soon as I see anything there, or get a phone call, I'll update this page.
-
Thank you Mar!
I been thinking about Aus all day and in fact all week.

My prayers are with her and the family, I had to let my Dad know it was ok for him to leave and go with the Angels to meet Our Lord, and a tear ran down his cheek, he was waiting for me to let him go. God Bless
-
So very sorry to hear this awful news.
Prayers for Beth and family.
-
Mary Beth is a strong woman. God Bless her. I am thinking of BethAus all the time.

I just found this thread.
Bethie was such a light and beackon to me, back when I was addicted to the chatroom. We would often be in personal-chat for wonderful lengths. She was quite a story-teller and full of laughter -- even while she was typing.
We were all set to meet -- when I was in Birmingham, and that morning she wasn't up to it.... so we visited on the phone most of the morning instead.
She loved her family so much. Mary Beth was so brilliant to create the scrapbook(s) from so many who loved her deeply. What a brilliant act. I know how much she appreciated that demonstration of love.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
To all those who have loved her through the years.

Beth and her family are in my Prayers. I think of all of the types we would chat. Beth really helped me through alot.
-
Just an update to let you all know that MaryBeth hasn't posted anything since yesterday afternoon. Not sure how to interpret that so I'll withold any further comment for now.
-
my prayers continue for Aus
-
Beth apparently decided a few hours ago that it was time to join Watson and Saint and Kbugmom and CTG and our other beloved friends in heaven. I know I'm supposed to rejoice, but damn that's hard at the moment. Not sure of the exact time, but she passed at least two hours ago.
-
May she rest in peace.
Such a sad day at BCO.
-
There was a new topic started in the thread, Commemorating Loved Ones called Our New Angel, Beth Ausborn. I think posts on this particular thread will probably stop now while others continue on that thread for those interested.
-
Thank you marlegal, she will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to her family,
RIP Bethie, fly with the Angels.
-
Thanks, Mar. The beat goes on, as we will always remember the upbeat attitude Beth had as she rises to a new dimension. Yet another Angel to join forces w/ the Holy Spirit.
