    Dear Sharalou,

I'm  so sorry that you have to go through a mastectomy again-I can't think of anything to say other than we know how you feel and what you're going through. Luckily, the cancer seems to be very small, and I would guess has been found early, before spreading to the nodes. I hope you have support at home-try to be as gentle with yourself as possible.  You beat this once-you can do it again!

    Best wishes for tomorrow,

    Catherine

Hi to all. Just went to oncologist today. Here's the deal. Had L mast. 2005-with mulitple +nodes, ilc, chemo, rads. Had R mast. 10 days ago, ilc, no nodes involved, 2-5mm areas, rest of breast tissue negative.  Hormone receptor negative (left side was positive-and have been taking arimidex). Onc. thoughts were stay on arimidex, kinda unsure about the chemo, saying it would give me 1-2% change of not getting it.  Any  thoughts out there? They did not do the onco type. was explained that there is certain cryteria that they do that.  It is a Stage I.  Any opinions, would love to hear from you. A bit confused.Shari

sharalou,  Do you think it is time to get a second expert opinion?  Experts may be able to give you the information you need to make an informed decision.

I am so sorry for the news you've received     :(      Upon my diagnosis of lobular cancer, I was told it's very likely to mirror itself in the other breast - and that if it's not in one now -  it probably will be in the future   (which is why I opted for bilateral).    If you question the news you've received,   I'd either return until my concerns were answered - or get a second opinion elsewhere.
