Meece - so sorry to hear about your neck. Is it better? I'm so glad you went to the chiropractor! They definitely have a place if you can find a good one.

It's so great to hear the change your son has made! God can do anything, in His time. If we can only keep ourselves out of the way! He really does know best and will work all things out.

Matt was not a horrible kid, and we raised him in the church, but he has had middle child syndrome and had told me that he wanted to get baptized once, but he didn't want to be accused of copying he brother.  He strayed from the church but always knew how he was wanted/expected  to behave.

I am so glad God hunted him down.  I could only plant the seed.

t is getting better.  The chiropractor said that my joint/vertabre are locked right now.  I have much more range of motion now.  Thank you for your words of care.

I am trying to.  DH tried to give me a gentle hug Monday morning and I screamed in pain.  He jumped back saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry".  It wasn't his fault.

My chiro has worked wonders on my bursitis, and has brought me a long way this week with my neck.  He laughed and said he reads my body language to tell if it hurts because usually I don't say anything, but Monday, if he'd been standing near the foot of the table when he adjusted me, he would have been dropped to his knees.

Went back to the chiro today.  Will go back twice next week before our little trip.  I am feeling much better.  I really like my chiro.  To think I was so skeptical a year ago, never having been to one.  My bursitis is under control, not perfect but before I went to him, I really thought I had broken my pelvis.  Walking was so painful.  I had MRIs, and x-rays, cortizone shots, and the work the ciro has done, has made it bearable.

Thank you for your care, ladies.  It means a lot.

Welcome, dawney!  i am so glad you are enjoying it, and I am so glad I started it and have connected with other believers who are or have navigated through BC.

I truly believe God had His hand in this thread's creation and I personally benefited by the salvation of my son, but I also believe He is not through with the work that will be done here.

Speaking of which, Grace...GRACE..how are you doing????

    God's Been Good - Legacy 5

    Lately I've been looking back,

    along this winding road

    To the old familiar markers

of the mercies I have known

I know it may sound simple

but it's more than a cliche

There's no better way to tell you, than to say

God's been good in my life

I feel blessed beyond my wildest dreams

when I go to sleep each night

And though I've had my share of hard times,

    I wouldn't change them if I could

'Cause through it all, God's been good

Times replay and I can see

that I've cried some bitter tears

But I felt His arms around me,

as I faced my greatest fears

You see I've had more gains than losses

and I've known more joy than hurt

As His grace rolled down upon me undeserved

For God has been my Father,

    my Savior and my Friend

    His love was my beginning,

and His love will be my end

    I could spend forever trying

to tell you everything He is

But the best that I can say it is this

God's been good in my life

I feel blessed beyond my wildest dreams

when I go to sleep each night

And though I've had my share of hard times,

    I wouldn't change them if I could

'Cause through it all, God's been good

God's been Good is the song I have been clinging to since my diagnosis because I know that He is good and in the end it all will work for good. I pray everyday that I can somehow use this cancer for good and be able to help other people!

Meece - Thanking the Lord for your son's salvation.

Jo - I used to go see the Cathedrals all  the time and I loved them.  I have just this year started listening to Legacy 5.  I haven't heard of the other groups you mentioned but I will have to check them out.  Have you ever heard of the Daybreak Quartet?  They are good also.

I have too many right now.  I am taking seven out of my big pond in a few weeks.  I have some which have grown over an inch a month this year.  As they grow, you can have less in your pond.

    Another favorite

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,

but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,

    gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking

so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.

It is not just in some: it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give

other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our fear,

    our presence automatically liberates others.

Samsue, isn't there something missing in there about "hiding your light under a barrel/basket"? It's one of my favourite sets of words that I come upon every 10 years or so that validates the way I feel. Some people are afraid of me because I am this way, but that's too bad! I make mistakes, I'm nowhere near perfect, don't want to be! But, I do live hard.

I try with my toddlers, but they don't get it.   (They promambly think Miss Meece is crazy waving her finger around). They just like hearing the music and playing our instruments.  The rest of Sunday and into Monday, I am singing or thinking about children's Sunday school songs.
