DH got home at 11:30pm - I was asleep. I didn't tell him about the chest pain until this morning. He made me page big onc. He rang back straight away at 6:30am - I love this guy. He said to take anti inflams. Also said I could take a dexamethasone, so I did. No need to rush off to hospital thank goodness. Now my bum hurts too. But, the good news is I get to stay home today :)

Melinda ~ great news on the BRCA I know what a relief that is !!!

Sue ~ hope you are feeling better soon.  :(

I went to my PS today ~ didn't tell anyone thought I felt a lump on my left breast knew I had an appt with her so didn't make an appt to see my onc.  ALL is good, she said it is the port I am feeling on the implant.  I am also having these implants replaced probably in December.  (I just started a Biggest Loser Contest at my gym for 10 weeks)  So I will wait till I am done.

    Hugs girls.

Sue ~ Glad the dexa helped !  That stuff works wonders.  Compazine was my friend ~

Thanks for the good wishes Michele.  I need to lose 20 lbs... so HOPE to be a loser.

Nettie ~ I have a lot of rippling on one side (saline ripples more then silicone)  They are anatomical tear drop shaped and look like footballs... also a bit too small for my frame.  SO going round, silicone, a bit bigger.  I was torn am I expecting too much?  Plastic surgeon said many women re-do some even go as far as taking out implants, tissue expanding MORE, and then surgery again.  I just want to swap out to something hopefully a better fit for my body.

Off to the gym.. ugh !  Hate my kids having to get up and out so early.  The mornings are crazy here.

    :)

Well Clyde was biopsied today, I will go back next Friday to get results and have stitches removed. Surgeon said he ran into Rad Onc at a Tumor conference last week and Rad Onc asked about Clyde....that makes me nervous that my bump is so noteworthy. Surgeon also said he talked to Rad Onc about it on phone yesterday.

But, it ain't cancer until paperwork says so.

Alicia: I don't know if congrats are in order?? One of the ladies in my cancer group had an 18 month chemo pause and then it came back. I guess it is just a crap shoot.

Melinda: Fingers crossed Clyde is dead tissue or something. You said it's gone down a bit - does it still hurt? I can't imagine cancer hurting - it's got to be something else. I'm glad you can finally get something done about it. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))

Sue: It doesn't hurt, it is just there. It does protrude less so I think that is good. For a while, it was tender but that was during and right after radiation and everything was puffed up and angry.

Here is Clyde on 8/27. The area around the bump is normal colored, but he is still red, just sitting there.

Melinda ~ I don't know where to look ~ is it by your collarbone?  Or above the slight indent?

hmmm... Clyde needs to GO the freak AWAY.

It is above the dent above the bra. The collar bone is just left over rad burns.

Buzz off Clyde, we hate you....

Oh that yucky mother nature, Hate her too.  Perhaps I have roid rage sympathy tonight...

Had a chemotard moment today...My dh came to pick me up at work and so I was going out to the car to get in...but I mistakingly tried to get into another mans car...the door wouldn't open, but alas he did offer me his keys through his fit of laughter....

Michelle: Sorry about your chemotard moment, glad he was understanding, I would hate to get tazered by someone thinking I was carjacking them!

Sue: Actually, I have seen dude the past two weekends and we are seeing each other after work tonight. So today will be our 4th "date", but we just kinda hand out talking. It is nice just hanging out together.

Way to go Linda.  Hanging out is good too.  The way to tell if you like his is by what type of undies you are wearing....are they granny panties or thong?Wink

Michelle: LOL, I don't own any thongs, but I do wear my best granny panties (no holes and less dingy!) is that a good sign?

Melinda ~ yes no holes is a good sign !  and just to reiterate I f-ing hate Clyde.

Michele ~ love your term chemotard...although I try not to use the related word as long as we are making fun of ourselves I feel it is fine!  Hubby and I were cracking up picturing you trying to get in the car with another man.  LOL

Sue ~ hope you are feeling better !

Have a good weekend girls !

Oh Geez. Great laughs today from the posts!

I don't envy you Alicia. I hope my period stays away! Are you more emotional or anything. I wonder if hot flashes go away!!!!

Non-dingy panties are def the way to go. Granny panties are like a chastity belt. No one will see them. It's when you reach for the good stuff that you're in trouble...LOL.

Michelle, I'm thinking of you. It's hard to believe you have to way all week for the results. Mine usually come back the next day.

Well, I have to start physical therapy next Monday for the nerve issues. I'm taking a pack of Prednisone, and will start stretching exercises. We'll see. Still hurting a little...

    Love to all!

    On underwear......

I do mostly g-strings although I do wear a few thongs too.  Changed it up for some boy shorts a couple of days ago.  My little silk number kept me sane during treatment....always felt sexy.

Ditched those granny numbers years and years ago......when I was in my 20s.  My undies probably cost more per square inch of material than a designer evening dress!

One major benefit of not having periods any more is that I can be much freer with what I wear on my bottom half including skimpy underwear and white jeans.  So wonderful not to have to worry about that one any more.

Other than that, I am getting ready for a warm up ride for tomorrow's event.  So nice to see the mountains and not rain this morning.  Hoping this holds through tomorrow evening.  I didn't get out to ride this week since Sunday, and my body is feeling it.

(I will be wearing my cycling attire commando BTW.)

Alicia, I am not a big fan of the chemotard term...I do find it a bit offensive, but you do see it all over this site...now I regret suing the term.  I hope I didn't offend anyone, If I did I am sorry.  I think Brain fart is more my style.

Melinda: Good to hear you are still meeting up with the guy - enjoy yourself!!! Sounds like you're getting to know each other.

As for underpants - I will only wear 100% cotton so my favourite are what you girls call grannie panties - no lines show and they are comfortable but they are defiitely not sexy.

The pain has come back a little and I have incredible burping going on. I just took a somac tablet - hopefully it will settle my stomach a bit.

Why am I such a nice wife to get up at 4:30am to cook DH bacon and eggs before he goes off to golf?
