Jaimieh (hugs)...the fun just doesn't end.  Cancer sucks...They were probable just being xtra careful--I think that will be the story now for the rest of our life.  I emailed the nurse navigator last Thursday with some general questions about symptoms and hormones, etc...well, this Thursday I now have a PET scan and lab work and MD appt.  (I thought about refusing the testing, but there is that little naggy voice of "what if?")  It sure is a challenge to keep up with life when our lives still revolve around the doctors :)

    Send prayers your way!

((KIm))~ I sure hope you are right.  My onc-man said the same thing but you know how it is, I do not trust anyone when it comes to cancer.

So my head is going back in the sand.....okay well I am getting back to work....lol...

Jaimie:  I'm sure you'll get good news tomorrow...maybe you just moved a little during the scan and they needed to redo it (I did that once).  Try not to worry too much...((((hugs)))), let us know when you hear back....I'm an expert at sticking my head in the sand, lol...it's a great coping mechanism ; )

Jaimie - oh, man, I can just imagine....glad you have some happy pills to help you out. I, too, am sure it is nothing, I would bet they are just being extra careful. But the stress of it all must be unbelievable, I totally understand.

Fingers crossed you get good news this morning. Keep us posted.

Thank you ladies.  I sure hope they call sooner rather than later.  I have already called themEmbarassed this morning.  I did take an Ativan last night but I am close to being out of my bottle which I am proud to say is the same bottle that I had during chemo.

So my neck is still sore, I have a headache and I would love to take an advil or aleve but because of my surgery next week I can take NOTHING :(.  Stinks I tell you this stinks......

Oh I don't think I put this here but last week I also lost part of my left big toe nail.  Thank you chemo.....The gift that keeps on giving...

Okay shaking down the MA should be illegal but I did it anyhow.....lol....I am honestly peeing my pants.  So I am waiting for the official call back but according to MA there are no changes to my bone scan which is good.

I called only about 6 times and kept getting their VM and finally MA answered.  I really owe the girl something because I just kept saying bugging her and it started out with oh you shouldn't be worried, whatever it is is not cancer, and then finally me just saying "just tell me and I will not tell Dr. D".  So now I wait for official word, the last bone scan was when the kidney issues were brought to light.....

So no answer as to why my neck hurts but so far it looks like good news from me....I sure hope it stays that way...  I will update again once I hear from Onc-man....

ya'll will think this is funny:  all of the metal in my TE's (I have the kind with the magnets on the ports) shorted out the ECG machine yesterday! LOL!  The poor tech kept asking if I felt OK because the tracing was all wonky.  I was fine-- the tracing was not reading my heart!

So echo done and now I just have the Mag-3 test.

Ladies, thinking about you all and hoping for beautiful test results. We can't always control the anxiety leading up to them (as evidenced with my upcoming colonoscopy), but the hope will always be "not a smidge" of cancer. Isn't that what Zuzu said?

Michele, good luck with your surgery. Jamieh, glad to hear your good test results. Apple, how are you? The new house?

The neuropathy in my hands has gone off the charts, but I'm thinking it must be due to the crutches I've had to use for the past two months. If not, neurologist here I come. Knee is feeling much better, but still a long way to go. Ortho says it's a 3 month recovery from this injury.

Nancy~ Sorry to hear that your neuropathy has increased.  That really stinks...  My DH had ACL repair last Thursday and it actually driving and walking already.

So Mag-3 test is done....and everything in my expert eyes...lol..  looks better than last time.  The IV went in without a problem and there was only a delay because of mixing the tracers.

So I will be leaving for NOLA on Tuesday....

having one of those evenings with those shitty dark thoughts.  yuck.  I'd take a xanax but I quit taking them a month ago.  really don't want to open that can-o-worms again... {{{hugs}}} to all of you.

Kerry- Are your veins still shot?  Too bad they couldn't do the zometa and MRI the same day... you could get poked only once!

    Thanks Jaimie and Nancy.  xxoo

hi everyone! I heard on facebook that Michele had surgery! I really missed a lot by not read the posts here. Michele, I feel bad I didn't find out about it until after you had the procedure. Did you get the TEs out? If so, that is great news! I felt like the exchange surgery was easy recovery.

Nancy, I'm sorry your neuropathy is flaring up! My hip and knee pain started during chemotherapy and has never gone away. It is aggravated by being on my feet like at work, shopping or exercise. The ultram I am taking is helping, but I am not pain free. The oncs think it is from the hormone therapy. I;m on Femara now. My family doc referred me to a rheumatologist to see if there may be answers/suggestions there.

My uterus is still not behaving. After I healed from the D&C I have had spotting 2 more times, just like before. I'm thinking it may be a side effect of the femara and I should not be fretting over it. I don;t know. I had a follow up appointment with the gyno on Wed but need to re-schedule because it conflicts with my pain management onc. She will be on vacation for 2 weeks after this week,so I cannot postpone the appt with her.

Jaimieh, I'm so glad your bone scan is clear. I know how we can worry so much more after our diagnosis. I don't trust my body any more!

Rosa finished her chemo and her CT scan came back NED! Next week she gets de-ported. She has done very well!

    Great news Michele! Flaunt 'em!!

Cheryl, hope things settle down for you.  What does ultram do? I'm on Cymbalta, but I think it's causing untold side effects that I hate.  I've concluded that maybe it's not so much the neuropathy but carpal tunnel syndrome due to the crutches. Hoping time will help.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy are early Friday so I'm gearing up for the prep. Clearly, that's the hard part - yuck! Then again, I get a day away from work, so I'll take it.
