Had my first post-surgical mammo today.
I'd been completely numb about it, in the "whatever" state of mind, which frightened me - I didn't think that was psychologically normal. When I was sitting in the waiting area I started to panic, which at least I thought WAS psychologically normal.
Result: No evidence whatsoever of anything nasty.
YAAAAAY!!!!!!!
But I gotta say, they took a bazillion more pics than they ever took in the past, and it hurt a lot more, too! Still, YAAAAAAY!!!!!!

SO SO happy for you. It sounds like you are doing just great! I am having a hard time getting adjusted to tamoxifen, but am hanging in there. Kind of on pins and needles til my mammogram in October, so it helps so much to hear this wonderful outcome. dsj

I have to say, I think its perfectly normal to either block the entire thing from your mind in a numb sort of way or panic.

In August, I had my first post-Uni MX mammo on my natural breast. When the radiologist came out and told me the mammo was clear, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. LOL! What a relief it was to hear those words!
