A Prayer for the World

Gracious God, we give You thanks for the gift of this world:for our sense of belonging to all the ages, for the gift of thoughful prayer You have taught us, and for the task of reverent study to which You call us.We thank You for the love of worship You have stirred up in our hearts, and for the love of justice You have implanted in our wills. Be with us in times of trouble as in times of joy; give us thankful hearts when we stand together, and send Your Holy Widsom into all our disagreements, In dispute, may we be gentle and loving; in unity, may we be humble; in poverty, give us hope; in wealth, make us responsible and generous. Inflame us with prophetic vision so our fellowship will be the likeness of Your Kingdom of righteousness, proclaimed for all by Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God now and for ever.Amen

A Prayer for our deceased Sisters

I offer prayers to Almighty God for the many newbies on our sight . I pray every thing goes well for them. I pray the number gets less and less as each day goes by . The sisters who are going through treatment may they find peace ,strength and comfort in God . Sisters who have a recurrence , God help them find hope and peace of mind . The sisters who are finally finished ,help them to overcome the fear of recurrence, give them courage to forge ahead and live their life in Christ . I most humbly ask to help the doctors to finally find a cure for this beast , I ask in the name of Jesus Christ or Lord .Amen

I would like to also pray for the husbands , boyfriends , fathers , wives , mothers , girlfriends and all the men and women of the military who have choosen the career in life to defend our Countries . May they all come back to us in health and peace of mind . I pray their stay overseas will be short lived defeating the evil that excess in this world .

Almighty God, who gives strength to the weak and upholds those who might fall, give me courage to do what is right, for those that trust in You have no need to fear.
Make me brave to face any danger which may now threaten me. Give me the help that You have promised to those who ask it, that I may overcome my fears and go bravely forward.
Fill me with courage, that nothing which is my duty to do, may be too hard for me. Let me put my trust in Your power and goodness.Thank You my Lord.Amen.

Dear Lord,Please comfort all who are suffering right now.I have read a lot of sad post and pray that anyone who is suffering will find comfort and will recover from what ever is ailing them.The men and women here are beautiful and brave, Dear Lord please comfort them.

Lord Jesus, I give this day to You. I present myself to You to use in any way You choose. Assign me to serve as You wish. Use my mind, my voice, my hands, my heart. I will gladly share with others what You have done for me. I will share my life, my heart, my resources. I will lay hands on the sick and be an avenue for Your healing power. I will be courageous in walking where You ask me to walk and saying what You prompt me to say. When I hear Your voice I will say "Yes, Lord" with a soft and open heart. I will be an instrument of reconciliation today. I will receive others in love and pray for them. Each one I meet today, Lord, will be touched by the power of Your love flowing through me. And when the day is over I will return it all to You in gratitude. I will rest, and open myself so You can restore me and prepare me for the next day when I report for duty.Amen

As I invite you into the middle of the trauma and pain, thank You for bringing life where there has been death, healing where there has been hurt, forgiveness where there has been injury. Father, I will begin with a commitment to trust in You in every circumstance, and entrust every moment of the day into Your care. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Who went about doing good and healing all, we ask You to bless Your friends who are sick. Give them the strength in body, courage in spirit, and patience in pain. Let them recover their health, so that, restored to the Christian community, they may joyfully praise Your Name, for You live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

Father, Your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease, realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in His suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O Jesus, You suffered and died for us; You understand suffering; Teach me to understand my suffering as You do; to bear it in union with You, to offer it with You to atone for my sins, and to bring Your grace to souls in need. Calm my fears; increase my trust. May I gladly accept Your holy will and become more like You in trial. My thoughts are with any new member who joined the boards today.We pray for them as they come to terms with this challenge.We pray for our sisters under-going treatment , under-going surgery or any diagnostic testing.We pray for our sister suffering mentally or physically and most of all Lord we pray that our sisters meet today with faith,hope,peace of mine and the belief in miracles.
Tonight I pray for all my sisters , world wide , I pray for rest for your tired bodies , laughter , quiet times , a simple hug from someone you love.

O God, help me to go to sleep thinking of your promises.

O God, help me to live one day at a time, not to be thinking of what might have been, and not to be worrying about what may be.
Help me to accept the fact that I cannot undo the past, and I cannot forsee the future.
But even as I think of this, and even as I face today, help me always to remember that I will never be tried beyond what I can bear; that a father's hand will never cause his child a needless tear; that I cannot ever drift beyond your love and care.

Jesus through the power of the
Holy Spirit, go back into my memory as I sleep.
Every hurt that has ever been done to me heal that hurt. Every hurt that I have ever caused to another person heal that hurt. All the relationships that have been damaged in my whole life that I'm not aware of,
heal those relationships.
But Lord, if there is anything that I need to do, if I need to go to a person be cause he is still suffering from my hand, bring to my awareness that person. I choose to forgive, and I ask to be forgiven. Remove whatever bitterness may be in my heart, Lord, and fill the empty spaces with Your love.Thank you, Jesus. Amen

Please add me to the list. I'm waiting for my results from my biopsy today. Will probably be in on Nov. 2nd or 3rd. My sister had breast cancer and died from the spread of it to her brain.

I found the prayers on this board gave me strength when I feel terrified, confused and (although I'm not) alone. Thank you!
