Paula - I finished rads the morning I left for Vegas. I has been totally fatigued for weeks sleeping 14 hours a day. But......you would have never really known because I was so pumped up with excitement I could hardly contain myself and didn't get much sleep at all. The only hard part for me was the walk at 3 am from the Piano Bar back to the Mirage but then again heck it was 3 am and we had been standing up, dancing, and singing since 9 pm that evening.
-
Tracey - I will bring some ambien with me if you need to be able to fall asleep - the greyhound bus will definately be in the room!
-
You guys crack me up. Do you remember Stephanie calling me about 3:30 am as we were walking to the hotel worried because she did not know where I was at that time of the morning. Love that woman, she nursed my hangover the next day.
I cannot wait to see you all. I should be able to post the final schedule this afternoon or tomorrow. I am in the east Coast and need to make a couple of phone calls to the West Coast before I post.
Love ya
Gisella

Sandy
Great news about your mom.....
Thanks for posting the info on Planet Hollywood
Tracey, I noticed that Planet Hollywood has a fitness center....I guess I will skip workouts, don't want to have to bring workout clothes.
Will the hotel have hair dryers in the rooms?...I don't want to bring one if I don't have to since I am only bringing a carry on.
Thanks to everyone who has had a hand in all the planning....you are awesome.
So no clocks and no windows...and that is to help our bodies think time is standing still...LOL....
3 weeks from tomorrow I will be hanging out with my sisters...wooooohooooo
-
Thanks Daisy6...just wanted to make sure about the dryers
Thanks for the info on Bellagio....LOL ... if I pay $32 for food I will try to eat my money's worth...you hear that Tracey....hehehehe...the thing I hate about buffet's are that I do not eat that much and I feel like I am paying for that guy that eats his body weight in food. arrrgggggg.....I always thought you could eat well but cheap in Vegas....guess I thought wrong.....I am sure you have guessed it by now...I hate spending lots of $$$$ at restaurants...and not to mention it's not good for my body. So I guess for one weekend I can bite the bullet and just do it.
I don't know how much cash to bring...I am afraid I might not bring enough....any ideas
-
daisy66, is it an unlimited buffet, i.e all you can eat and drink? Is the champagne unlimited? We could do some serious damage on just the champagne alone! LOL If it's umlimited in food and champagne and includes gratuity for $38.51, that's really not that bad.
Personally, I don't eat crab legs, so I don't really care to pay an extra $10 just for that. Also, I thought it was a "mid-day" brunch? Isn't midday at noon? 3:30 - 4PM is an early dinner to me.
Just my 2 cents, I'll go with the majority.
-
Hi sweeties, what a nice way to hear I am missed! (even as the dinosaur I am )
I am so Pd I can't go, but it IS my 25th wedding anniversary, so we will go to the berkshires and try to reconnect, dryness issues, oopharectomy issues and one hoot covered and all. I am going to be very creative.
Please everyone have TWO glasses of wine for me. I will be with you all in spirit. And where can I get me one of the Ta Ta T shirts?
love you all
annie
(now I'm going to go read all these posts.......)
-
Sandy, so glad to hear your mom is OK!!!
Whew! God be praised!!
(I want me a name tag too....I will wear it anyway.....)
jk, but please let me know where I can get a Ta Ta shirt? Wonder what size a 5'2", slightly uh, voluptuous mismatched C and DD would be? Large, I surmise except it'll probably come to my knees. If Dolly P can do it, so can I, right girls?
Ah well, have a great time ladies, nothing keeps the ta tas down! pun intended.
love you all sweet sisters
annie

I agree with Mona on the time!! Mid day brunch needs to be earlier...by about an hour or so...I know we need to leave time to get over hangovers etc., but 3.30 or 4 I think is too late.
Around 2.-2.30 will be better...Others agree? JUDY
-
OK girls...the Bellagio brunch is so different than other buffets...this is REAL food, like you would order at a nice restaurant...and well I am like Laura...I LOVE ME SOME CRAB LEGS!!! The champagne is unlimited as is the wonderful food..talk about damage on the champagne! This buffet is WAY WORTH the money!!! It was so wonderful all sitting together and visiting with those who I hadn't visited with the days before. It was real good girl fun, for me anyway. In my current profile pic...this was taken at the brunch.
Last year we got in line at 2pm and we didn't leave until around 5:30. This will be a lunch/dinner type of thing...we will then head to freemont from there. It takes time to pay and get situated before you actually get your food.
Please PM me if you DO NOT want to sign up for the brunch. I know I will DEFINITELY BE THERE!!!
-
Last year there was a horrendous line at the brunch at Bellagio. I don't know how fast the line moves but I sure wish they would give us VIP entrance like they did last year or we might be standing there in line for over an hour? I would be willing to pay extra just to get to the front of the line.
-
Yes I do agree. I think 3:30 -4:00 is a bit late also. I also don't eat crab legs or drink champagne.. I like wine, mixed drinks and coronas.. Does anyone know if I can get something other to drink beside champagne?
Judy I hope you are doing well.. Can't wait to meet everyone.. I am so glad I found all my new sisters. You can never have enough of the. You ladies really got me through this whole breast cancer ordeal. So happy I found you all
-
I have what might be a stupid question for some but over here on the east coast of Canada, wearing white after Labor Day is a no-no. Do you think it'll be OK to wear white shorts, skirts etc in Vegas in Oct?? I do wear white while vacationing in the islands but Vegas isn't a tropical island....lol
Terri
-
Roomie Yeah!!!!! Thank you for the Bellagio reservations, cannot wait to see you. I agree with Jazzy, The reason to go that late was not to recover from the night before but to be able to enjoy the brunch and dinner menu. Hopefully we will be seated by 3:00pm or 3:30pm if we get there by 2:00pm or 2:30 especially since they already told us we could not be moved to VIP.
Last year ( sorry for keep referring to last year but that is all I have to compare it to) several of us went to the pool and enjoyed the beautiful Vegas weather and socialized before we went to brunch/dinner or got together to shop or watch football games. Once we got out it was the perfect time to go to Freemont or shows.
JKZ you can get any other kind of alcoholic drinks at additional price. Many of us that do not drink champagne did the brunch without champagne. Terri, who cares if it is white or not, if they ask tell them it is "winter white" shorts. In Vegas people do not pay attention.
Hope you guys are doing good
Gisella
-
With no VIP line and 60 of us, can we be certain we'll even be seated together?
-
Mona...when we are there in line they will take all of us in as a group...they will seat us together. We have 50 on the list.
-
woooooohooooooo this thread has gotten busy
OH, Annie...I wish you were coming. Happy Anniversary!!
Great to hear from you Judy. I pray that your infection is getting better.
Since the food on the buffet is upscale then the price is OK with me...just did not want to spend that kind of money if it is like some of the crap on the buffet's around where I live. Anyway, it is all about being together, right!!!
I don't do crab legs or champagne. But I am with the crowd and will follow you wherever....2:00 sounds like a good time.
Terri, White is OK with me, I won't judge you...LOL
I went today and got my Vegas haircut.....I am ready..
-
White it is then!
As for the buffet, I'm easy and will go with what everybody else wants to do. Sitting by the pool sounds great. I can never get enough of the sun anyway - followed by brunch and then Freemont Street! Does it get any better !!!!!!!!! Will we have enough time to recover from the champagne before heading to Freemont? ....lol
-
Ahhh no....at least not in my case. Two glasses of champagne and I'm paying for it a day later. I'll skip the champagne and just have my beers and bourbon later. Oh, and as for white - I don't think Vegas will mind. Just saying...
Judy - hope you are getting better every day.
I can't wait to meet everyone. Thank you again to all you ladies who are making the calls and organizing this. Without you it just wouldn't be happening. Susie will you be our official countdowner???
-
LOL Linda about your haircut! I've got a mani and a pedi already booked for the 30th!
Phew! Glad we'll all be together! I can just see us all bouncing around trying to talk to each other. 50 people is ALOT to seat together. Can't wait!!!
Annie, Happy Anniversary! I SO WISH you were coming. We'll definitely miss you.
-
Champagne Buffet sounds like a lot of fun - can't wait to meet all of you ta-tas. Thanks for all the gals and their hard work putting this together.
Vegas here we come - WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
First of all thank you very much for all the patience and kind words, we all really appreciate it. A couple of things, with a group this size, very few restaurants would accommodate us without requiring a set menu and charge us a fee ($300 to $600) to guarantee us space to seat together. There have been many calls to try to accomplish this so, Stephanie a big thank you for making the Bellagio meal happen and of course scouting out PH. Thank you to Anniesse (Laura) Tracey, Janet, Stephanie, Deborah, Laura, Colleen and anybody else that volunteered to help or listen when I was having a case of the blues....
Finally here is the schedule, I know we have a lot of unscheduled time but you will see that at the end of the trip you are going to wish you had more time to be together.
FRIDAY
Arrive in Vegas, Laura to post more information about that.
Dinner on your own Friday night (suggestion, you may want to form small groups for dinner)
7:00pm TO 8:30pm Meet and greet at the stairs of Crystals/City Center (there are several restaurants and food outlets in that area to do dinner or grab a bite to eat).
9:15pm LaScena bar and lounge at the Venetian
SATURDAY
10:00 am Breakfast at Kahunaville at Treasure Island hotel. We will have our own area to dine.
MID-DAY Shopping, hang out by the pool and socialize
8:00 pm Piano Bar and the New York - New York hotel and Casino
SUNDAYMorning Open to Socialize
2:30 be in line to be seated at the Bellagio Buffet6:00pm Freemont Street (meeting place for bus/limo pick up to be determined.)
10:00pm Goodbye drinks at Rumba-bar at Mirage hotel.
MONDAY
Those of us that are leaving late can get together for breakfast on Monday morning. There may be some minor changes and more information coming. I would have love to do Serendepity but it would have been about $30.00 per person for appetizers and no drinks, I think we can do better than that. PM me if you want to do Serendipity since it was an option
Like I said we may have some venue changes and if that is the case I will let you know but I thought it was important to post something so you have an idea of the plans.
Please pm me if you have any questions.
Looking forward to see you all
Hugs
Gisella -
I for one love crab legs and champagne......and Terri, my mom taught me that about white, too, so I know how you feel..........
Thanks for all the organization work everybody! We're going to have a FABULOUS time!
-
Hey ahs anybody heard from WhirledpeasClaude?? I don't have her on any list and I haven't heard from her!!
-
Wow what an incredible job you ladies have done! I am SO excited!
I would add though that MY mid-day/free time plan is to gamble! LOL (I'm just saying -- not really a pool person).
2:30 PM for the brunch on Sunday is a good plan and how amazing that you got them to agree to make a special area for us! OMG the rest of that crowd are going to freak when they see us coming lol.
Tracey -- LOL about how you think we should get in to the Piano Bar!
-
I found out today..that I am able to take off of work. So...I get to to Vegas..Baby!! Although..I have a plea....does anyone have an extra bed?
-
Terri... I get your post... and yes... in the states... it seems many wear white after Labor day. I personally do too, now. I was NEVER EVER allowed to do this as a young girl.. NO NO NO... so now I rebel...LOL.... but yes... I have seen ladies wear white pants AND SHOES in December... the horror!
For me personally.. all kidding aside, it took me years... into my 30's before I could pull myself to do this.
You ladies are so funny.... getting " ready" for Vegas... your haircuts,,, mani/pedi... and weight loss...LOL LOL... I just don't swing that way.. I am lucky these days to get on the right plane..LOL LOL...... WE DO NOT CARE what you LOOK like... we just LOVE YOU !

On the Bellagio time... have a late breakfast ladies.. ( 10ish) and then a snack if you need at 1... because we sit at the Bellagio from 2:30-6.. REALLY.. we eat and drink and talk and make speeches.. and some of us ( me ) eat some more....
... for all this time..REALLY. so when leaving.. it is like we had lunch and a full dinner there.... CAUSE WE DID! I was full into Monday....
Tracey... you are a sweety calling me classy. That was kind!
Oh girls.... Oct is almost here.
