A good laugh best medicine?
Hello everyone. I know it's hard to find anything to laugh about while going through so much. But last week I was at dinner with family and my SIL gave me a birthday card, the usual wishing you a happy---stuff, and ending with hoping you are all aglow.
I just about split a gut, lol, [she thought my radiation had started,] but I had a little detour due to a late decision on Chemo. I started the evening bummed out and I didn't want to sit with the family pretending to have a ball. But when I read that card, we all cracked up laughing, and I said 'yeah, I won't need the night light anymore for reading, but I'll have to read on the left side.' lol, well you had to be there, everyone relaxed after the laugh , and alot more smiles around the table. [I hate that goomy look they usually give me]. I still think it was a funny icebreaker.
Anyone else have a funny story?

Laughter is the best medicine.
When I was doing chemo and went to work (I guess I looked like crap)
I could see my friends look so sad for me. So to change the mood I would fling my wig or sometimes even whip out my fake boob and toss it at them. We always got a laugh out of that
Crazy!

Wig humor. I was getting a mugga scan and looked at the technician and said you know, my wig probably would look better on you than me. She laughed and said is that a wig. I nodded, and she said, are you saying what I think your saying? I tossed her my wig, and yep, she did look better. Within 5 minutes we had at least ten other techs in the room, laughing and they asked me to request them the next time I had to come in. She asked where I got it and I gave her ordering instructions. You just have to change every enviorment that you enter. Makes the day go fast...

it really is good to laugh and forget ones' woes. there are some absolutely hilarious anecdotes in. I haven't been laughing much lately.. I've been stressed out and busy.

this thread. the funniest i think was of the mom whose toddler boy had drawn eyebrows on her face with magic marker while she was sleeping, and her realization that something was amiss when she answered the door.
