Sooooooooooo happy to hear the news Faithie!!!! May Kelly be on the road to good health!!!
Awwwwwwwww Coonie...such a nice pic of you and Mr. Coon ... heheheh I know what ya mean about pics...I try to avoid them too!!!
Ok... before I left for the lake cabin... I just happened to watch a documentary on Showtime and it was called "In Heaven with Nixon". It was the story of an autistic man told by his brother.... in one part his brother said, "Christopher, I know it made you very sad when dad died", to which Christoper said, "Yes, yes David, it made me very sad".... David then asked Christopher where he thought his dad was now...to which Christoper immediately replied, "In heaven David, yes, dad's in heaven".... David then asked him if he though their dad had seen their grandfather in heaven to which Christoper replied, "Oh yes, David, he has ...he has seen granddad and Nixon". David gasped and said to Christoper, "Chistoper dad hated Nixon"!!!!! Christoper then replied, "Yes David, dad did hate Nixon, but that was here were there is hate, in heaven there's no hate so he likes Nixon now"!!!! It was sooooooooooooo precious!!!! Anyway, we get up to our cabin and settle in, my girlfriend Jan comes and settles in and we make ourselves drinks and go out on the large deck overlooking the lake. A young man from a cabin up a small hill kept coming down and saying "HI" We'd say "hi back" and a few minutes later he'd come down and say "HI" again. I was going into the cabin for another drink when I heard his dad say, "KYLE YOU WILL NOT RUIN EVERYONE ELSES VACATION NOW GET UP ON THIS DECK NOW!!!!" Then I say his mom break down crying.... I walked up the hill and said, "It's ok, he's really not bothering us" "Please don't let it ruin your vac because we really aren't being bothered" and then I proceeded to give the crying mom a hug. She proceeded to tell me that Kyle was autistic and that he just loved saying "Hi" to people.... Over the course of our week we all fell in love with Kyle and got to know his family..... It was amazing that I had just seen the documentary the night before...hmmmmmm
Wonderful relaxing time with my sis and girlfriend, didn't even get homesick! ha!
This is Kyle...waving "HI"
A couple of views from our deck...
Looking up from the lake at our cabin...
Then the biggest surprise....
Not really ... rofl... but would've been nice....
xoxoxoxoxo

Should've used my spell checker...lol
Beware of bad grammar above!!!!
hehehehehe
-
Arnie, thanks so much for sharing that story. Brought tears to my eyes, but in a good way (except for Kyle's father's comments, but I'll cut him some slack ... can't be easy raising an autistic child). Faith, I'm soooo glad the early news is good - you know how our joint efforts bring about wondermous things, so we'll just keep the good vibes coming hon.

Back from 3 1/2 days at Clam Beach near Arcata, CA. Had a wonderful time in the sand-camping in it, sleeping in it, eating it, running in it! It was awesome-no pictures however, becuz at outset, my DD's phone, IPod, camera & summer reading books were taken after she accidentally left her backpack alongside the road where we had to stop to cool the car down. When we realized it was gone we were hours away...on the way back, we stopped at the spot. Found her ID tag that was on the pack & her summer reading-"Catcher In the Rye" laying along the road, but no pack, phone, IPod, or camera! Sometimes life sucks! Otherwise, it was great!

i was on the beach on a ship at sunset tonight...USS Midway Museum

Faith, that pic was beyond awesome. Still praying for good news about Kelly. Lisa, when we were in San Diego the conference organizer had our party on an aircraft carrier ... let me see if I can dig up a pic in a minute - I forget the name!! Coonie, we still want a pic of the humanistic Coonies!!!! Happy almost Friday everyone
-
Lisa, here are two pics I took aboard the carrier ... do they tell you enough to know which one it was? My history and memory are both horrible, it's appalling.
