Hi Haibo, sorry about your sister, i know you are worried about her, you are right this type of cancer appears in 48-yr old and older woman and usually does not go to the lymph nodes, I have a friend with this type of cancer and she is younger as well, but she is doing very well, no problems at all since finishing her surgery and chemo- they have wonderful treatments out there and most of the woman here are doing well, here is what i found on line, i copied it for you to read, hope this helps and makes you feel a little better, if you have any questions at all, let us know we will be happy to help you, you might also use the search engine here on the site and put in that type of cancer and it will direct you to that forum- your sister and family are in my thoughts and prayers- debbie >Your Prognosis for Mucinous Carcinoma: Mucinous carcinoma of the breast usually appears in older women (ages 48 to 82) and is a medium- to- low-grade slow-growing type of breast cancer. Since it is not aggressive, your outlook, or prognosis if you are diagnosed with this type of breast cancer, is better than most other invasive breast cancers. A study done in western Australia found that, in most cases of mucinous carcinoma, the cancer did not spread to the lymph nodes nor metastasize to other parts of the body. <
