Something I Thought I should Share
So I have a friend who was diagnosed shortly after me with Multiple Mylomia. What she had is bad-stage 3 (it's a blood cancer that causes bone lesions) Anyway, she quite chemo after 4 sessions. All of us girls in the neighborhood were soooo worried for her. We thought she was nuts. She quit and started Dr Young's PH Miracle Lifestyle/diet. Basically she eats alkaline, drinks all alkaline water, takes certains supplements, etc. It's a whole lifestyle. I thought it all sounded weird and I was of the opposite mindset and still am-throw EVERYTHING you can at this disease. Here she is with uncurable cancer and quits chemo and feels she can beat it with his diet.
I have grown very very close to her. And I started doing some of the things she does mainly I drink 3 liters of Alkaline water a day, I drink these salts that are magnesium, potasium, and calcium and I eat mostly vegetables. I juice once a day, I drink greens (powder), and I do a shot of wheatgrass. I also take several of the supplements and work out 1-2 hours daily. She does WAY more then this-I just stated here. So I have lost 47 pounds to date and I had an oomph. After my oomph have had possibly 4 heat flashes. I feel like a new women.
Emotionally I am very very happy. My fear of the cancer coming back is pretty short lived b-c I feel so good it's hard to imagine it coming back I guess. I have energy from morning to night. I feel as energetic and good at 9;00 at night as I did at 9:00 that morning. I am addicted to the above diet. It has changd my life and empowered me to keep my cancer away. I can't really put into words how good I feel physically and after 9 months of chemo while carrying a baby, 6 weeks of radiation and then an oomph my thoughts are I shouldn't feel this good so quickly. I feel like I did when I was really young just strong and clean. I can't realyl explain it...But I feel over the top crazy good!
Anyway -back to my friend- her numbers were rising. So they wanted her to go back to chemo and have stem cell transplant. She said she didn't believe her numbers were rising b-c her blood looked perfect under a micorscope. ( she goes to a blood micropisist) Dr Young's program believes that cancer can't live in a ALKALINE body and that cancer is a funtion of a body that has too much acid. He UNC docs wanted to do a EXRAY to confirm her cancer was increasing and she needed to get back to chemo. ( she has 30% chance of being alive in 2 years) She is one year out. The xrays came back and her bone lesions have almot dissppeared and no new ones have grown. They told her to expect they were growing and there would be more. Obviously we were all over the moon when we heard. Is it God healing her -is it the PH lifestyle. I don't know. She says it's both. The PH Miracle or Lifestyle isnt some weird diet where you take herbs and drink cottage cheese. I was really living very Alkaline and not realizing it but each week I try to get better and better.
The only reason I share here is we all here of crazy cancer cures, etc. And I am big believer in traditional medicine but if I haven't watched this girl cure herself from the inside out I wouldn't believe it either. It turs out Dr Young has reversed several BC patients cancer without surgery. One of his patients had stage 3 breast cancer, refused surgery and treatment. She was on Oprah telling her story .
He is also one of the ONLY docs in the WORLD to reverse Lou Garigs disease. He has a 100% success rate with Diabetits. He is on facebook if anyone is interested. So anyway I am not sellng, promoting, don't know the guy, bla bla bla-I am just sharing. It gives me such hope to see how see how she is doing. And I have learned so much through her and feel soooo blessed to feel so good I wanted to share.

Pure,
That's a very inspiring story. Thanks for sharing. I guess I should be honest and say that the only thing I'm doing is exercising all the time and eating a few more veggies. This gives me something to think about.

I read your post with fascination because I started going to a naturopath and am eating better and watching my PH balance, although not to the extent that you are, too. Back in March I went on a 30 day juice fast to cleanse my system and then began a very vegetable-oriented diet. Cut out alot of meat, but not all, and drink a ph-balanced concoction that my naturapath has me mix up - most of the day. And I feel better with much more energy, too. I also feel this change in diet/thinking has given me more control of my bc outcome! (And, I've lost 25 lbs., although I'd still like to lose 20; but that will reguire more exercise!)
Anyway, as I read your post and you spoke of having done chemo, given birth, etc. I thought of "Pure" whose posts I was following a while back. I was so happy to look back at the top and see that this was you. Congratulations on your terrific results!!! You certainly had a tough stretch back then. Glad to see you're back on top!!!! Keep up the great work. I'm going to Google Dr. Young.

Tks Sue...
I post this b-c it can be hope for someface facing stage 4, it can give a sense of control ove ryour disease if your stage 1,2 or 3 but MOST importantly eating and living this way has empowered me in a way I didn't know possible. I just feel soooo soooo good.
You can find him of Facebook and he posts a lot of information there.
This is his actual website http://www.phmiracleliving.com/default.aspx

Hmm... definitely something I will look into. I bought a gallon of high alkaline water this week just to see what it was like and WOW!! It's really good!
-
thank you for sharing this! i had never heard about ph levels and cancer....i will totally check it out. SOOOOO great that you are feeling so great! i just finished radiation last week and am now cleaning up my diet( organic, whole grains, lots of fruits and veggies) and trying to be as proactive as i can in keeping my cancer away. this gives me a direction to go in! thank you and i'm so glad your friend is doing so well.
-
hi geewhiz, where do you buy that alkaline water? Can you buy it at the grocery store or do you have to buy it from the website? Thanks for your feedback? best, heather
-
I feel a sense of empowerment also from changing the way I think of food, what I eat and feed my family (also what goes on my body)..I believe my dh and son have also shared in the benefits..Just as you all have mentioned above and it sure can't hurt to be healthier if we ever have to face bc again....
I'm also interested in the alkaline water?.....Sounds interesting and I am going to do some research on Dr. Young's program....thanks for info
-
Thanks for your posts, Pure! I just ordered 2 cases of Alka-Pure water from amazon.com. I had been adding pH drops to my own filtered water. But, maybe the alkalized bottled-water will be more effective, and help me lose the last 20 lbs!
I was wondering if you buy the alkalized water, add pH drops to your own water, or actually bought a water-alkalizer/ionizer? If so, which one did you buy?

Great story! I just took the liberty of posting a link to this thread on the Natural Girls thread, as so many of us there do at least some of what you've been doing. So glad it's working so beautifully for you and your friend. And that's phenomenal that it's worked for Lou Gherig's disease. I hadn't heard that and thought it was always fatal. I also friended Dr. Young on FB to learn more.
Coincidentally, before I had my mx, a local compounding pharmacist had suggested that I could avoid both the surgery and chemo by drinking high ph water, and even put me in touch with a research doctor who claimed he had done this with several people. As natural minded as I am, it sounded ridiculous to me at the time, and I wasn't willing to gamble my life on it. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't follow his advice as my sole tx, because my bc turned out to be fairly complicated. But I think it makes perfect sense as a lifestyle from here on out to prevent a recurrence. Deanna

I'd be interested in where to buy good-tasting water, too. I stay pretty alkaline on diet alone, but it seems like an easy way to do more. I heard about the ph factor in cancer from a fellow patient at my oncologist's office, so I started into it when I finished radiation. I've added a lot more fruit to my diet & have always eaten tons of veggies. I've cut back on meat. I tried the ph drops that you add to water, but not only did they not produce any discernable difference for me, they made everything taste just awful. I haven't lost any weight, but then radiation seems to have sent my thyroid into a total tailspin, so it's not a shocker. Geewhiz - where did you buy it by the gallon?
-
It's called Hunza Class Alkaline, bottled in Tennessee and it was at Lifetime Grocery. I think that's a local chain though.
I flipped quickly through a copy of the Young's book today at the bookstore. They really all seem similar to me - I think I'm already doing a lot of the same things...green juices, all organic fruits and veggies, no meats etc. I will add it to my list to read next though!!
-
Thanks for sharing........I have to admit I was eating much better and paying much more attention to my food during chemo and shortly thereafter. However, after going back to work and having less time I seem to have fallen so easily back into my old routine. After reading this I think I'll get back to eating better.

I actually emailed Dr Young today and asked him what his cure rate was with breast cancer. I didn't think he would answer- but he did-he said 100%. It's on his facebook page. I would love to know how many women he has actually treated though. He is Bringham Youngs grandson. He has a ranch in California and New Mexico.
Anyway I purchased an alkaline water system that conects to my home. Lisa, my friend, purchased one and I got addicted to the water. I was doing the drops but drinking the water directly from the system is the best way to get the full affect of alkline water. I was told that if you could only change 1 thing I would suggest the water.
I do know that the longer Alkaline water sits the PH lowers but you can buy it at Wholefoods..I use to buy it at wholefllds as well as buy distilled water and then add the drops to raise the PH. Now I have the water system. The water system is expensive $1300.00 but was buying a gallon a day from Lisa so that got a big expensive and I wanted to get my kids on it as well. I also bought cholorphyll from wholefoods and I drink that each day 2-3 times a day. Its tasteless but either its all in my head or that stuff makes me feel great. Dr Young says all cancer survivors and patients should drink it and that we can't get anough of it. I do wheatgrass and that is pure cholorphyill but I added this as well.
So what has happenend is I am "high"on good health. It's like the better and better I feel the more and more I want to keep doing this way and changing my habits. I am still struggling with the sugar part and also I have the occasional cheeseburger but I am getting there:)
Anyway my nails are so pink they look like I had french manicure. The girl doing my nails was like wow you must be super healthy. I so wanted to tell her I just finished a year of cancer treatment.
-
Thank you for sharing. I myself appreciate others sharing what is working for them.
The salts you take, where do you purchase them and how are they taken. I think that's something I may want to try. Also, you said you were adding 'drops' to your water. What kind of drops were they? Is there such a thing as Alkaline drops?
Thanks again. -
I bought the salts through Dr Young's website as well as the drops. You can get the drops through other health food stor online so you might want to shop around for price. I do the salts once in the morning and once at night. They are also excellent for athletic performance so I take before a hard work out. A lot of athlets now do Alkalin water as well...Tony Robbins and Crazy Sexy Cancer lady all preach about living an Alkaline diet. If you can't find them on his site (his site is a bit confusin) pm me and I can find the link for you.
-
Hi Pure- I contemplated no chemo (and still haven't started due to other reasons) but don't feel comfortable with the gamble. Did you do the PH Miracle during chemo or start after? May I ask what kind of chemo you had? Thanks for the inspiring story of your friend. It reminds me to get back to what I feel is right and will help me through the traditional treatments. I do believe our fuel is important.
-
I did do chemo and would do it again ( I think:) but my friend actually quit it and I thought she was a loon. She has very strong faith and believes this is the path God wants her to go down. I follow the diet now and started AFTER chemo. With that said while I was on chemo I was juicing, not eating meat, doing wheat grass every day, etc so I really doing the diet to an extent just not realizing it...One day I bought some PH strips at Wholefoods and test my ph and it turned out I was highly alkaline ( though you need to be alkaline all day for disease to not live in your body)

Hi Pure,
for someone who's been researching alternative cancer therapies what you're experiencing is not very surprising (I've seen the interviews on YouTube with patients of Dr. Young who got cured of cancer and other diseases, a while back). There's alot more out there: Vitamine D3 (we take 5000IU per day), iodine (atleast 12,5mg per day), chlorella/spirulina, B17/pancreatic enzymes, etc., and the nice thing about it is that those therapies not only really work, but they also don't poison you, like chemo does...
One more thing that I believe can really help, is putting your ego aside, love yourself and everybody else on this earth (atleast, get rid of negative ideas, feelings, tendencies, which harm you more than you might imagine...). Living in a thankful, forgiving, loving way does miracles.
Best wishes to you and everybody confronted with cancer (or diabetes, etc.).
-
Hi Placebo-something I started to do is wear a rubber bracelit. Everytime I think something negative, talk badly, etc I turn the bracelit over. The idea is to see how often I am think/feeling/having bad thoughts. I was pretty surprised. I have a strong faith in God and through that faith and guidance I am able to change my thinking patterns. I also do reicki-that helps as well.
-
Hello Pure,
knowing God isn't a thing of the mind. Although, looking around you and realizing that there's no way the universe just 'happened' by accident is one thing that can smarten one up... There just must be something more to it. This 'more', for me, is God.
When you know (feel) this, it's easy to give up the ego. On the outside it might still look as if the ego is in command most of the time, at the inside you know better.
Hope this makes some sense to you (I think it does).
Big hug,Ronald

Hi Pure
Went to Whole foods today and got a case of Alk water and the drops as well. The gal advised me oddly and told me not to do just this water but to mix it up as you don't want to take your ph too far to the other level as it can also cause problems. Can't remember what she called it but then I was confused. Any thoughts?
Placebo so right on about the state of our mental and emotional, spiritual wellbeing as well we need to couple this with the diet and the results can be amazing. (It just brings more peace to any situation we are in).
Thanks again for bringing this all to forefront.
-
Well it's really hard to keep your pH where it needs t be all day long. If you buy the pH strips you can test for yourself. You may be alkaline in the moring and then it drops in the afternoon. I guess that's why he pushes the diet/lifestyle-so yor body stay alkaline all the time. So I don't think drinking the water all day can be anything but good for you. I will ask him though-I will post on facebook and see what he says. Are you on facebook?

Hi you all,
many people think: "if alternative cancer treatments exist, that work, why don't they get approved by the FDA?"
They should take a look at the following clips:
http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=C5E3FA45A61C64961E590573EC1FDF2F
http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=26E875D159E63E72B4478284AF7A3AFC

I've read many books about alternative cancer treatments, most of them written by real doctors (who turned away from delivering toxic 'medicine' to already ill people) and they all had similar experiences with the FDA as shown in these videos.
God bless -
Jen-
I wanted to let you know that I was am so happy that you are feeling so good!! I remember reading your posts while you were pregnant and immediately after and just reading the hopelessness in your posts. I am so happy for you and your family that you have found something that has brought you from despair to hopefulness!
I have changed to a vegan diet since my surgeries and I also feel hopeful. I don't know a lot about the alkaline diet but I will definitely look into it. It sounds like there are some similarities in the diet. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Best wishes to you and your family.
-
pure- I went and got some ph strips and the alkaline water this morning after reading your post, wouldnt this be wonderful if some simple little thing like alkaline water is the magic wand we have all been waiting for- excited to see if i start feeling better and get some energy back that i lost after chemo- I dont regret doing chemo thou, glad i did-
Placebo- Just out of curiosity are you selling this stuff, you seem to be more focused on this than your GF's breast cancer you hardly mention it, just curious.....
-
Hi debbie6122,
maybe you should atleast look at (some of) these clips before you start asking me silly questions like: "are you selling this stuff"... This stuff is not something I could sell to anybody, even if I wanted to (which I don't - I'm just trying to be helpful to people who are interested in other cancer treatments beside the 'modern' surgery/chemo/radiation.)
And why should I be mentioning my girlfriend all the time? She's doing great, without ANY of the conventional treatments, you like me to repeat this over and over? We've used GNM and metabolic therapy (based on B17/Amygdalin) and I'm not selling any of these either (just in case you were wondering).
God bless
-
Well placebo, i will tell you why, this is a breast cancer forum so i thought i would ask, it was just a question, if you are offended then what can i say?
-
I get my alkaline water from wholefoods I also bought the drops and use with distilled water. I just recentl bought a system b-c I was spending so much money on the water. I am not sure someone could actually sell the water unless you have a grocery store.
Did you do the strips? I found it so interesting to see what my body's ph is at.
I have to say I believe in CHEMO and I am not really in support of my friends decision to quit but it's her decision so I stand by her no matter what. With that said, I have watched her follow thie PH miracle diet/lifestyle and she is doing amazing and reversed her bone lesions whichto me says something she is doing is working. I have heard of people doing crazy cancer diets that I think are a load of crap. This is just a lifestyle-a ultra healthy lifestyle and for me it got my life back after chemo. I would hope for everyone to feel this good after chemo.
Here is what I do
1 gal of alkaline water er day
2 glasses of water with chlorphyll
1 glass with sales
Wheat Grass
Juice
1 raw vegetable a day like a whole pepper or cucumber
Try to choose mostly alkaline foods
no meat, sugar, chicken
LOTS OF avcados
A lot of supplments
I cheat all the time-I have something sweet each day and a cheeseburger once a week
lol so I am a work in progress.
Just by drinking a gallon of water a day you will notice a HUGE difference.
Dr Young believes cancer cant live in a body that is totally Alkaline and the blood is perfect. Maybe that is true-he claims to have 100% cure rate with BC. With that said I don't do it for that reason-I am just addicted to feeling so good. I am high on my health. So matter what happens I feel great-I feel like I did when I was in my 20's and I shouldn't I should still be receovering. So if this helps someone great! Just thought I would share.
-
Hi Pure,
I have been reading your comments with great interest. I am anxious to test my PH. The paper, though, is on back-order at the healthfood store, so as soon as it arrives I will be doing the test.
About the raw vegetable in your diet. My naturapath told me that the body cannot absorb nutrients from raw veg easily and that they have to be cooked slightly. I still eat it raw at times though.
Cheers,
Glenis
-
He is probably right...I guess thts why they recommend juicing it... I just find for a uick easy snack I eat a red peper or yellow pepper versus grabing fruit which is acidic and has lots of sugar.
