    Sistas,

    First and foremost, thank you for saying prayers on my behalf and being such an inspiration to me with your love for God and others. 

    Home from lumpectomy surgery last night and slept the soundest I have since this whole ordeal began.  I couldn't believe the calm that came over me as I was rolled into surgery and was even able to bless my medical team before surgery began.  Although my surgeon reassured me that I would need pain pills, I have not needed any pain medicine so far.  Surgeon is very confident that she got everything and will have pathology results for me in by Monday or Tuesday.  Right now, I feel very blessed to have you praying for me, supporting me and being my "sistas" during this time.

    I am honored to lift you all up in my prayers,

    I am asking for prayers for our Sisters who face financial hardship on top of fighting Cancer.  May God and their Guardian Angels be close at their sides, protecting them, giving them shelter and providing food and life's necessities.

    I wish for a world where no one would ever have to have these fears for their basic needs.  May there be resources available in the many organizations dedicated to helping those who have Cancer (and other diseases of course.)
