Hello ladies,

 I don't know who to contact.  I have developed a reddened area under left breast rarely itchy, no pain or tenderness, I don't detect swelling.  I have had it for a couple of days, not improving.  My question is I don't trust just going to my regular GP, I am sure they are not well informed with IBC, and will probably dismiss it due to ignorance.   Is a dermatologist knowledgeable in this area, who should I contact for evaluation.   Any information is so appreciated, quite worried.  I know this is misdiagnosed frequently and it is an aggressive form of cancer so it is best to have it evaluated properly quickly.

    Terri--the list in your prior thread of symptoms was accurate.  I also had a lump which usually is not normal, but helped me quickly get tests needed to diagnose.  My obgyn sent me for a mammogram & ultrasound which picked it up.  I then had a biopsy the next week along with Pet scan, bone scan, mri.  They were very thorough in testing me and my surgeon referred me to an oncologist.  I had to wait 3 weeks b/4 I got into my obgyn; but then everything progressed very quickly after that.  We hope this is not ibc for you; but please make sure you get the appropriate test and a biopsy.
