Lumpectomy Completed - Implant Removal prior to Radiation

Has anyone had radiation treatment without have implants removed?  If so were there any complications?

    I do not have any personal experience on this but I suggest you need  to consult the radiation oncologist and surgeon carefully.

    Due to a recurrence, I had radiation that finished up in April 2010. I did not have to have my implants removed and everything is fine so far.  There is always a risk of capsular contracture on the radiated side.  I am very hopeful that I will not have to deal with this.  Any questions you can PM me!   Good luck to you!

    I just finished my radiation treatments beg of July with TE's in place.  All went well.  I actually did very well and am hoping for my exchange surgery in Nov.  Good luck!
