Has anyone tried avastin before or at the start of chemo?  Thoughts?

    I was in the Beth Study.  This added Avastin to my chemo cocktail-tax/carb/herc.  After 6 treatments, Avastin gave me high blood pressure, so I decided to drop out of the study. Other than the high BP, and a bit of a bloody nose here and there, I don't think there were any other side effects for me.

    Jaim1123,

    If you go to the "help me get thru this treatment" there is a thread called "Clinical trial E" (can't remember the letters after the E!) Anywho, this is the study w/Avastin and I am sure you will find a lot of information there.
