Tumers with mets
Ladies,
I am an old and have been battling this beast for almost 10 years. I developed blister like lumps all
over my from my waistup chest to my shoulder bone front and back. They are so large and filled with fluid.
My onc said they were tumors that came up to the surface. You would have to see it to believe how bad this really is and getting worse. It is so painful and itch and red and swollen. I had biopsy's done and they are mets from the breast cancer. I go to onc on Friday for her to tell me the results of biopsies which I already know. Dermatologist said maybe radation but I already had it and can't have it again. I want to scream because I can't take too much more pain. Don't tell me to take oxycontin because I halucinate from it and hate it.
I need to know if anyone is dealing with this and what is being done. I would appreciate if you answer me. I can't take much more of this.
Take care,
Geech

Geech:
I am so sorry that you are going through this and it came back. Please ask your oncologist to send you to a pain specialist as there are certainly many other drugs to help with your pain other than oxcy. I hate that drug as well, but there are many more they can give you that will not effect you as does the oxcy. I wish you all the best and hope the misery of the itching and pain is eliminated.

That sounds very painful :< Is this skin mets? If so, there is a cream called miltex from Germany.....if you have skin mets you can apply for compassionate use and get it. It is not available in the US yet, but there are many here who use it. I'm not sure what chemos you have used so far....maybe something like abraxane would help?
Hugs to you. lisa

Oops! I just read some of your older posts and see you tried abraxane a while back. I hope there is another combo that can help.

I am so sorry you are suffering so. Where are you located? I am currently researching bio-identical therapy... even if you happen to be er/pr+. I met a gentleman in his late 60's early 70's with leukemia who was using bio-identicals only for treatment. I am in Ohio and know there is someone new in the area who does blood tests to tx various conditions. Not sure if skin mets is one of them. Is there any clinical trials you may be eligible for? I will pray for peace and comfort for you.

Thanks Folks for Answering,
I went to onc today and she said I could stop chemo and I wold her I'm not ready to give up. Between my head with bc mets and this mess all over the front and back it is really bad. Onc suggest I go to psychologists to help me cope with this. I need to sleep for a night and I my feel better
Thanks,
Geech.
