    PB22, I just listened to squeeze box on you tube, OH my god i had no idea the WHO sang that, i use to listen to them all the time, and that song diffently was one i hadnt heard, and your so right, it is a gag me throw up song LOLOL

    Just got home from the casino an hour ago and they have a loop that plays contstantly and I heard Don't Worry, Be Happy and I had to come home.  Yuk Yuk Yuk

    Oh I had forgotten about the chewing gum song but it reminded me of My Mama Told Me Don't Put Beans in Your Nose.  You have to wonder what goes through peoples minds that they think up this stuff!!!!!!

    carcharm, the name of your song is "Lips of an Angel" by Jack Ingram, I think.  I love the tune, but yeah, like you, I feel guilty liking the song since it's about cheating--I feel like I'm an accomplice!!!

    Okay - I have another song, while it brings back good memories because my friend and I snuck into her big sister's room, took the album, ran back to my house to play it and thought we were "hot stuff" listening to teenage music.

    Aaaaaahhhhh I love this thread!!! 

    My name is thenewme and I'm also an irritating song fan!  Bwahaha - to be completely honest, I don't seem to hear most of the words anyway - like I'd be the one to say bathroom on the right, LOL, so maybe my brain censors the lyrics for me! I love Pink Floyd, but the actual lyrics are disturbing, so I just work on my powers of letting go.  Sort of like here on BCO, LOL!  

    Remember the song "she's a maniac...?"  I always thought it said "she's a lady-ette!" Duuhh.

    What about that hair rock song "Unskinny Bop" ???  Not funny when you're enjoying music but not so much enjoying the BC weight gain! Bah.  Fat-bottom girls go dancing?

    *raising a tentative hand* some of these songs mentioned I LOVED! lol...mainly because they bring back some good memories.   I still can't listen to Stairway to Heaven & Authority (I fight authority but authority always wins) without getting a little smile. :)

    How about Color My World?  When I was a sophomore in HS it was the theme for Homecoming and OMG they played it over and over and over for WEEKS before the dance - and the song itself is sorta non-existent in the lyrics department, and in the music department...

    PS It's Chicago, and I'm a fan, but here are the lyrics, in total: "As time goes on I realize just what you mean to me.  And now, now that you're near, promise your love that I've waited to share.  And dreams of our moments together color my world with hope of loving you."

    Jps- color my world USED to be my favorite, i would sit and cry over my then boyfriend LOL! Now i hate the song and the boyfried LOL!

    I think this thread is a valuable resource, it gets our mind off of other things we dont want to be reminded of.

    Can i just say what my favorite song is right now, its by annabella- called, I need you now! Am I getting things thrown at me lOL

    One song I used to mess up or hear wrong is "Voices Carry" by Til Tuesday...  I really thought it was "Mr. Scarey".    Another one was "You're Unbelievable"... I thought it said "You're Ugly Boy".  Of course I found out these were wrong by singing in front of friends to their amusement!!
