God bless you. I hope all those things for you too. It is hard waking up from surgery. It is even harder when you look down for the first time. Esp with all the scabbing, blood etc. IT GETS BETTER!!

promise.. I am a year out and my scars are not gone but faded and my boobs look better than before albiet without any sensation!

when you are up to it, send us a msg on how you are.

    good night and god bless

Now.. a year later.. it is all forgotten! oh and also.. the damn drains.. just know they will come out eventually.. they suck I am not going to lie.. ughh.. but this too shall pass

Please let us know how you are when you feel up to posting. The pain does subside after a few days but take the drugs they prescribe-- before they start to wear off take the next dose. If you're in pain, your body won't get the rest it needs. And don't forget the Colace!  Have someone bring you something yummy when you're up to eating-- a milkshake, etc. And try to distract yourself while you wait for the pathology report.  When it's all over and you get the drains out, start the exercises-- gently-- to help your arms regain movement.  In the end, you'll be surprised that the surgery, while awful (more so emotionally), is actually manageable and what a strong person you are for going through all of this. If people offer help, take it!

    --Good luck.-Julie
