THE 2ND TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!
Comments

I have been seeing the same prices Lilah. I am sort of looking to leave out of Philly unless my sister joins me for the trip. Purchasing a package with the flight and hotel have been as low at 550.00 which is great. I hear the best time to book is Tuesday night so I am going to keep my eyes open. If you come across any deals let me know and I will do the same.
-
OK will do Jennifer... did not know that about Tuesday night!
Yes that IS a good price for airfare plus hotel.
-
PS -- I went ahead and ran a search for flights/prices on travelocity JUST NOW and the price is down to $383 plus tax (or $404).... that is amazing! That is the lowest price I've seen in a month. I am going to check every Tuesday night now -- though maybe I should just cut it out and buy a ticket (I just can't stand the thought that it will drop $100 or more the minute I buy one).
-
Jazzy, I'm soooo sorry!! (((HUGS))) Power Prayers go out to you as well as her family!! Please GOD bless them in their of need!!
I've got a appt. to see the dermatologist next Tuesday, the rash has not gone away & there are more now. Hello Ladies, just a quick update. I received an updated list from the hotel and we only show 13 rooms booked. The leftover rooms will be released to the general on August 15th, so if you have not booked your room you may want to do it soon. Please PM me if you have any questions.
Have a great evening
Hugs

Hey Ladies!!! I see a reunion is in the works for Vegas. I'll have already been there in August for a Donny Osmond reunion, so I won't get to meet any of you--plus school starts for me in September. Maybe I can meet some of you in the future!!!
-
Hi To All You Lovely TA TA'S,
Sorry I have not been on in awhile. It looks like the reunion is coming together nicely and thanks to everyone planning it.
I will be in touch with the activities that my mom, step mom and I will be attending. I have to check in with them. I hope to be 100% w/ the TA TAS, but need to see what they would like to do. Tracy, I will pm you with an up date.
Laura, my cell no. is the same as last year. I hope your son is feeling better, prayers are sent his way.
Jazzy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend and her family. It is so hard to hear about a death due to cancer. It really SUCKS.
Susie, I am sorry to hear about your rash and all you have been through. I sympathize with you on the painful rash. I started w/ a rash last Monday and went to the doctors yesterday and low and behold I have shingles. They are painful. I hope the viral medication kikcs in soon. Good luck with yours.
Gisella and Stephanie, I hope we can attend a show together this year. Let me know if you pick one out.
To all the new TA TAS, I can't wait to meet you in VEGAS. Susie did you say 72 DAYS? YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Sending HUGS and PRAYERS to all.

Gisella, I am not planning anything for this trip. I am going to go with the " majority rules"... I , like Journey..LOL... and along for the ride..hehe..
Lilah.. you matter..!!
I know last year, we all just jumped in limo's and cabs... it was cheap.. and we had NO trouble. Like Judy said... it was easy to get a ride.. heck.. they are lined up to get our money.
I too, like reservations. The money you talked of Gisella was great.
I am good at gathering money...LOL... if you read this Gisella.. and we are going to do this. I can get all the money together for us, and then reserve. Most all the ladies here know my address doe to the money they all sent me for Deborah's Birthday. Let me know if you want me gathering money.
We still have no results from my sons Heart Monitor test... Lord.
Thank you for asking.. You all are amazing!
-
Laura you're so sweet!
So sorry there is still no news -- will keep the prayers going
-
For dining plans: Apparently the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood gets very good reviews. Most of the unfavorable reviews have to do with long lines and the "wait" to get in...
-
Hi Ladies, Regarding the Fri night stuff I'd say reserving the tables would be good. I too can help collect $ if needed. I'll second (or 3rd or 4th) the experience that cabs are easy to get and cheap if we pile in 3-4 to a cab, and I'm always up for walking a certain amount too.
Speaking of distances, do you guys know the trick they use in architecture there to make buildings appear closer? Many of the highrises put the horizontal "floor dividers" only every 2 floors. But our minds automatically assume they're every one floor, so we interpret the building to be smaller and therefore much closer than it really is. Its quite a visual trick!
Jazzy - So sorry about your friend. My heart goes out to her family.Sometimes this disease strikes so quickly. Thankfully for so many of us the treatments work quite well, even if experiencing them sucks big time.
Susie, hang in there. Sorry you're having such a tough time with the rashes. Many hugs, and best wishes in getting it all under control.
Looking forward to seeing y'all in 72 days!!
-
OK ladies...I have been reading the posts and let me throw something out there, Serendipity is supposed to have amazing desserts just like the Serendipity restaurant in NY. Do not know never eaten there, but PH Buffet has good reviews, as Deborah said, we could do that get the 24 hour band and eat breakfast there on Saturday. The band is I believe $34.99, if there is any interest I will check on price for sure and call and see if they can reserve some tables. I have not called Serendipity yet or any other place because I do not have numbers to give them and that is the first thing they ask for. Once we can get some numbers I will start making some phone calls. We have plenty of time at this point.
Hope you are having a great week.
Hugs
Gisella

Thank you so much Gisella for all of your hard work!! So far I have 26 people who have PM'd me and 26 people have committed to Friday night Meet and Greet and Sat morning breakfast. I would guesstimate 40 people if you were to give these places a number. But this is just my opinion. I remember last year, a LOT of people ended up not going who were originallly on the list. Serendipity's in NYC is AWESOME, but I LOVE the idea about the 24 hour band!
What does everybody else think??
-
I LOVE the idea of the 24 hour band! Serendipity in NY I have been to -- but only for dessert -- do they DO dinner?? I guess they must. In NY the decor is over the top. I always think of it as a fun place to take children though lol.... so I guess I'm saying I would not be sad if we ended up doing the band and having dinner and breakfast at PH. My only question re: any buffet -- will they reserve a table for 26 or more?
I can't imagine our group waiting in line.
I do want to say I think it truly doesn't matter where we are -- WE will be the event.
-
Giselle (and everyone) - I've heard that the deserts at the Serendipity in Las Vegas are not quite as good as the ones in NY, but I'm sure 'not quite as good' is still pretty darn good. I've never been to either.
Also, the 'Buffet of Buffets' bands are 24 hour bands and you can use them at several buffet lines (Le Village Buffet @ Paris; Spice Market Buffet @ Planet Hollywood; Paradise Garden Buffet @ Flamingo's; Flavors Buffet @ Harrah's; Lago Buffet @ Caesars Palace; Emperor's Buffet @ Imperial Palace; Carnival World Buffet @ Rio) as many times as you want during that 24 hour period. They are $39.99 for total rewards group members (easy to get at customer service for free if you don't already have one) and $45.99 for non members. The trick would be getting all of us in at the same time if we wanted to eat there as a group...LOL!
Just FYI, I think cabs from Caeser's to Venetian will probably run around $10 - split 4 ways this would be around $3 per/person with tip.
-
I love food and have never been to a bad buffet in Vegas so I'll eat anywhere as long as the company is good (as I know it will be).
Julie
-
Le Village Buffet at Paris (french cuisine from all the different provinces and sushi and prime rib) and Carnival Buffet at Rio (five or six diffferent country"s cuisines and burgers and more) are excellent. The Spice Market is supposed to be very good as well. JUDY
-
I agree with Julie. I'll be happy going to any of the places mentioned. Although I do want to eat good food while there, for me it's more about spending time with the Tatas

Hey ladies..
Anyone who does not have a picture of themselves as their Avatar... can you please get one.
... we do look for eachother in Vegas, and if we have your photo to stare at for a few months before... it is MUCH easier...:)... so ladies with no picture or a picture that is not you... could you consider posting YOU..:)
xxxooo.
I have posted to Jazzy and Gisella....and I will say it here. I will be joining ALL of the TaTa Sisterhood events. I choose to stay with our group. Anything planned as a whole.. I will be there. So count me in on everything.
-
Since I've never been to Vegas, I really can't comment on the restaurant issue, so whatever the group decided to do I know will be wonderful! I'm just SO looking forward to meeting everyone!
Laura - I'll PM you my info tomorrow when I can look up my flight info. Sorry to take so long.....
-
Val... you little slacker......
-
I agree . . . don't really care where we eat, just want to be with the Ta Tas. I'm not really into BBQ or meat too much, but other than that, I can manage, as long as we're all together.
Talk about a slacker? I haven't even booked our airfare yet! Hoping to use frequent flyer miles.
-
I've been to both the Paris and the Rio buffets - both fab (Paris is especially nice for breakfast). I'm up for the Spice Buffet as well! Gisella thank you SO much for doing this (and Annie and Stephanie).... please let me know if I can help.
Laura -- I haven't bought my ticket yet but I have seen the flights that are available and I expect to arrive by noon. I'm still playing chicken with the airlines, waiting for them to drop their price
Stay tuned!
-
Well good news and bad, I am starting a new job soon so no Vegas for me. You guys will overlap with my conference...which is at the same hotel....I should send one of you to go to my comittee meeting in my place.(Just kidding)
Have fun, the buffet at that hotel is the best in Vegas , I believe. If things change and my new job wants to send me to my conference, I will try to drop in and say hi.

Well Ladies...I have been avoiding this but the time has come.....I wont be coming to Vegas after all. Unfortunately life has just not been very nice lately and I tried my best but its a no go. Lesa is still out of work, we had to replace our heating/a/c unit and the pool pump as well has all the other stuff, it just didn't leave enough for me to make the trip. Im really heart broke, in fact just writing this is making me cry my eyes out. I will miss you all and I hope you have a wonderful time.
Teresa
-
So sorry to hear you will not be joining us Teresa...but I can understand why. I was looking forward to meeting you.....you too Cookiegal....so sorry
I am up for anything that the "group" is doing....food is not that important to me...just being with all of you...
Earleen is coming to my PS office next Friday. I am picking her up at the airport and then we are having dinner together. I cannot wait. She will look at my tatts and brows to see if she needs to do some touchups when I am out that way next month. I am going to visit my mom in GA the end of August.
Thanks everyone for all the work you are putting into planning our activities. I trust that all the decisions you make will be great for all of us.
Love ya
Linda
-
Awwww so sorry Teresa and Cookiegal that you can't make it this year... I hope you will next year!
So I just did the math and my last Herceptin is September 20th -- so I WILL be celebrating in LV Oct 1 - 4!
-
That's great Lilah! Definitely cause for celebration!
