Barbara your right, leader of the pack.

Aussiesheila, the "funny farm" was annoying, its not something you would want to sing to yourself or anyone.

Does anyone remember "Run, Joey run, Joey run...." the angst fills song of two teenagers in love until daddy finds out and goes off in a blind rage...

which also brings us to "Wildfire" sang by a pre-pubescent Michael Martin Murphy?

The whole "Its a Small World" song? OMG, we have annual passes to DIsneyland and hang out there a lot. Guess which is one of my kids favorite rides? Yup, you guessed it. I'm telling ya whenever we go it's a for sure thing they'll be singing this song for at least 2 days after our trip.

Who Wears Short Shorts was recorded by The Royal Teens and it came out in 1957.  Purple People Eater included an excerpt and there was the Nair commercial in the 80's

My teenage son was committing about what I thought was so great about Eric Clapton.  When I want to bug him I'm going to have to download MacArthur Park onto his ipod without his knowing!.

Hi All...  I absolutely LOVED going through this thread...  And I have to agree with one who already posted WONDERFUL TONIGHT!!!  It's my all-time most hated song for the same reason.  I also can't stand the way he sings it.  It sounds like a 6 year old is singing!!!!   Ugh!!!

"Hair" was by the Cowsills and was part of the soundtrack for the Broadway show Hair.  Also, YES, I remember "Quick Joey Small went over the wall with a ball and a chain behind him"... I think he was a prison escapee!  LOL!

This thread is HILARIOUS!  And I'm so glad that most of my most hated songs of all time have been mentioned.  Number one is Having my Baby...has to be the worst song ever!  Then HOney, and the Pina Colada song.  One that wasn't mentioned but I hate almost as much is 'Just the Way you Are" by Billy Joel.  I think it was released just before he dumped his wife for Christie Brinkley.  Hate it...(I also hate Piano Man, but maybe it's a Billy Joel thing with me).

Ohhhhh...how about Alone Again Naturally by Gilbert O'Sullivan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    I love this!!!!  LOL LOL!!!!!!!

Well, now that I have every song mentioned going through my head!  I would have to agree with the BeeGees.  Although, I cannot tell you how many times my friends and I put their record (yes, I said record..as in vinyl) on and sang along.

Not many songs will make me turn the radio off...but that Christmas one (mentioned on the first page) about a boy buying a brand new pair of shoes for his dying mother gags me.  Seriously?  THAT is a Christmas song?

Oh..and Purple Peaple Eaters is also THE song for the Vikings.  Well, the 2nd song.  First one is Skoll Vikings.  LOL

Did I miss anyone posting "The 12 Days of Christmas".  UGH!!!!!  I am not a big fan of Christmas and I always feel someone came up with that song to punish people like myself.  What if you don't have a True Love, and hate pigeons!!  It just goes on and on and on!  Like the UnMerry-Go-Round Song from Hell!  Just my joyful opinion. Thinking about it just puts me in a nasty mood because now I will be dreading the days until December or now even November when they start all the unjoyful Christmas songs.  How depressing!!

UnMerry-go-round! LOL!  This thread is hilarious!

Okay, one more...Don't Give Up on Us Baby...about the guy who's so sorry because he abused his lady and she left.  waaaahhh!
