Can't beleive I'm bagging on you guys again but have been fighting a real nasty head cold/sinus thing all week and still feel miserable--see you next month!! Have fun!
-
Hi all...five of us made our lunch..it was a good one and
it was so nice to see everyone...
LisaSDCA was camera shy today...we so enjoyed having her there..
-
Hi girls!
I am so sorry I missed you in June. I had 2 chemo treatments but am doing pretty good. Had a nasty allergic reaction (not to the chemo, but I think to some shrimp I shelled and ate in the middle of last month and it really got me down... had to do a big round of steroids... ugh... put me on a path to weight gain and EVIL mood.... think I am better now) My hubby and I did squeeze in some time at the beach on my good week to celebrate Father's Day... It was nice! I am coping with the SE's of my FINAL round of TC! YAY!
See you all soon! Big hugs to all!
-
Hi Jan, good to hear from you..sorry about the reactions, glad about FINAL round and squeeze time..
Sending hugs back to you...we missed you
-
In case you have not been to see "All that Glitters" here are some of the pix I took
-
Beautiful! thanks for posting. We have a family membership there... I need to go and check it out!
-
jan, how are you doing?
-
Hi old friends. Long time no see. Busy girl I have been.
I heard from Lisa's sister today that she is back in the hospital after some seizure activity on Friday. The doctors are not optomistic and only family can visit. Sorry to be the bearer of such terrible news. You never know with Lisa though she may just surprise everyone.
-
Hey Liz~
Thanks for asking... I am doing pretty well. I am 12 days PFC now and the fatigue has been pretty rough this time around. I am just taking it slow and one day at a time. My kids are here now from Ohio and they have been great to help and to keep me laughing
They will be leaving August 5th. I certainly am enjoying my time with them. (if someone would tell me how I post a photo, I will post one of us.) Other than fatigue, the side effects have been minimal with the last treatment YAY! I am constantly bothered by eye twitching and watering though... when will that end?? But all in all, happy to have chemo in the rearview mirror. Radiation is next beginning the first week of August, I think. Hope to see you soon.
I am sorry to hear about Lisa and will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
Jan

If you haven't read on the Our friend LisaSDCA thread both Jeanne and I received texts this morning saying that Lisa is doing better today and continuing treatment.
-
thanks for keeping us all informed about Lisa SDCA
We are all in her corner..
Jan, glad chemo is over, you need to have an event..even if it
is an evening out.
Somewhere on these boards is the direction for photos...anyone??

I'm sorry to hear that Lisa is back in the hospital, but also glad to know she is doing better and continuing treatment. She sent me an email right before my scheduled stage 2 surgery, wishing me well. That was less than a week ago.
Surgery didn't happen, long story...
Jan, good to hear from you. It's nice to know you are finally done, done, done with chemo!! Eye-twitching and tearing will go away eventually. Mine took several weeks PFC.

Just wanted y'all to know that Lisa's tests all show improvement and she was supposed to have most of her tubes, etc. removed. She will be moved to a regular room either today or tomorrow and, although she still can't speak, is alert and aware and looking forward to visitors. Ellen and Taylor are with her.
-
Hello all--catching up on this site today and glad to hear that Lisa is doing better---she has been fighting long and hard and still always had good words for others....what a lady!! It sure is hot this week---and it got me thinking about a lunch this month --any ideas?

how about that deli we went to in la jolla?
off of Nobel
we have the weekend of the 24th and 31st left..
how about a Saturday for a change??
-
The weekend of the 24th is likely not good for me - I start a new treatment on Thursday prior. But go ahead and plan for that date if it works for everyone else.
Lisa Update. I visited her in the hospital today. She is now able to have visitors (she's at Kaiser on Zion). According to sister Ellen she will be moved to a rehab in the next few days - in Poway. Either Villa Pomerado or Villa Monte Vista. Both right next to Pomerado Hospital. When I know for sure which one, I'll let you know.
-
Hi there., LisaSDCA if your sis or daughter is reading these to you, I just want to send you
a huge bear hug...gently of course...you are near and dear to us and we are holding your hand..
-
Dittos Lisa--Liz said it best and we all wish you the best and send you gentle hugs......Sylvia

Padres today honored the USMC
-
Lisa - you ought to offer your collage either to the USMC or the Padres org. Pix are really wonderful. I have to download Picasso and see what I can do!!
-
Hi sisters, thank you dear Lisa, for the lovely photos, they are sooo nice. Let me know what day and I will do my best to REMEMBER, but, I am 75.
Ahem, on to better news, our dear Lisa, is rallying, she is a trooper!
Hugs to all, Shirlann
-
OK folks we are getting down to the end of the month...how about the 31st...
-
Possibly for me. How's that for a definitive answer?!! And where??
-
31st works for me--where and when and B--we can share a ride?
-
LISA UPDATE: She is being transferred this evening from Kaiser to Stanford Court Nursing in Santee (8778 Cuyamaca St., Santee) 619-449-5555 According to Ellen, she can have visitors. I would call first just to confirm and also to make sure you don't arrive while she's at a therapy session.
-
I am leaving for Nova Scotia on the 29th and will be back August 2. My stage 2 surgery was postponed for August 5.
If anyone is planning on going to see LisaSDCA and would like some company I am willing to tag along. I can even drive us there.
