10 Year Anniversary Today!
Today is the 10 year anniversary of my first BC dx! I had a Stage II IDC with micromets to 2 nodes. Had lumpectomy, AC/Taxol chemo and single field rads in 2000. I did end up with a brand new primary BC 5 years later (ILC) but that was unrelated to the IDC (opposite breast). I am almost 5 years out from the second dx too.
Just wanted to let newly diagnosed ladies know there definitely is life after BC and even with BC! It gets better, you finally learn to not think about it every day and can look forward to enjoying life again. Hang in there!
