hi girls,

i watched elizabeth edwards today on a today show interview. she is so strong. i had been doing so much better mentally not crying as much and when i saw her i just sobbed. when she talked about her wanting her kids to love their dad because she might not be here and that she wants at least 8 more years with them. i cryed and cryed and couldn't stop. i think sometimes it hits me so hard because i try to block it out most of the time. i have a little girl who is 5 and i always say i hope i can make it 13 more years. i'm just really sad and scared today.

thanks for listening

I know exactly what you mean.  My dd turns 18 today.  A precious time.  I hope to be alive many more years.

My daughter wiill be 17 next Tuesday.  I want to see her graduate from college, possibly get married and have kids if she choses that path.  No matter what she ends up doing I want to be here to see the outcome and guide her through.  Just typing the words about is almost makes me cry.  No one loves like a mom and the thought of leaving her in this world without that love is unthinkable to me.

Elizabeth Edwards is strong and I was just talking with a group of women last night that I actually met on the forum about that very topic.  We were also talking about the loser men that often leave women when they are going through breast cancer or any other serious medical condition.  Someday they will have to answer for their actions whether on this Earth or beyond.

Good luck to you and give that little girl a great big hug today and remember how precious each day is.

For those us who have experienced BC, we know and understand what Elizabeth has gone through, particularly since her cancer returned, however, her worst cancer was her cheating husband and she cured that one on her own. Kudos to Elizabeth.Laughing

    Lori59, LOL!

Stress from living with a narcissist may have contributed to her cancer. Maybe dumping him will help her survival. Getting toxic people out of your life may be the ultimate detoxification strategy.

    Way to go, Elizabeth! Wink
