I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME
Just finished ANOTHER MRI, now on my arm, and I think they are going to tell me the BC has spread there. I need to have a CT Guided biopsy on my arm--Not sure if it is the bone or not because I am still waiting for my doc to call. Could use some help here friends-any common situations out there? I AM TERRIFIED!!

I am so sorry you have to be in the waiting game. I think it is the worst place of all. All of us on this board have been there at one point or another. I have waited and had good news as well as some bad news but at least when I knew, I could move on. I sincerely hope for you that it is nothing serious. If it is , just remember there is much they can do these days. I have been under treatment for bone mets to the spine, hip and a few other places since January this year. Treatment has been tolerable and my last scans showed almost no activity in the bone. As the say on the boards I am dancing with Reggie ( regression) and waiting for NED ( no evidence of disease). I will be looking for your post to see how things turn out.

Catwood--I have no words of wisdom but want you to know that I'm hoping for good news for you--you are certainly due for some. Hugs and prayers,

Going for the guided CT today on my arm this morning-my surgeon basically told me the report from the MRI yesterday said there was "significant concern" that this area was cancer BUT she said that it is treatable and "we are going to get you back to health and put his all behind you". Still very scared. I want to see my daughter grow up and enjoy grandchildren. Am I being too dramatic?
-
Dramatic????? Hell,no - I would be right there with you in your feelings. Wishing you all the best today, we are all thinking of you and will be with you if only with cyber love and strength. Please let us know.
Hugs,
Linda

Catwood, I wanted to chime in with my support and wish you the best of luck today. When I had all my scans done a few weeks ago I imagined all the members of the forum being right there with me. It really helped me to focus on the fact that so many have been through all the testing, waiting, etc. and made me not feel so alone. Several forum members told me to imagine them singing "We are family, I've got all my sistas with me" and even though it sounds silly it really did help.
Picture yourself surrounded by all the love and support all of us have for each other while you are having your test and getting the results.
Keep us posted and I hope your surgeon is wrong!

Catwood--your surgeon sounds like a wise woman; you are in good hands. Linda and Lorrhaw, I love that image and I will be singing along with Catwood and with you. As for drama, well, I had the same feelings. Catwood, it sounds to me like you have profound priorities and a strong will.
Hugs,
Cathy

No, you are not being too dramatic at all. It IS scary.
Please let us know how this turns out.

Thank you all!! The procedure was gruesome. The doc could not understand why my bone was so hard to get into BUT maybe that was because the area of "significant concern" was B-9!!!! Hooray!! No mets after all!!
-
Congrats catwood. That's awesome news. I just got back my bone scan and brain scan results today too, and everything was clear. It is so nice to get good news in the midst of all this worry. Take Care. Allison
