LIFE'S A BEACH!

I was at the beach this morning and saw a Navy ship leaving port..always sad to see them go..
-
Hey Lisa, may they all come home safe and sound! What a picture!!!
-
On the same street, I saw this house all decked out for maybe the 4th of July
It just looked so pretty..
-
Oh gosh, it's so lovely. Perfect indeed!
-
Along the picket fence there was a daisy for our Faith
-
I have a bunch of daisies in my garden just coming in to bloom. I'll take a pic but it will take me months to figure out how to post it.
-
And we have your President here in our city! Lots of helicopters and fences and stuff. Had an earthquake and a tornado the day before they arrived! Everyone thought it had something to do with teh G8 or G20 Summit! hehehehehe
-
You keep all those leaders in line, now Barbe...we are counting on you
-
Lisa,
Seeing the ships leave, watching a military air show, or seeing a house displaying patriotism always brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.
-
Me too Meese
this was on the fence gate
-
-
The campground where we have our trailer goes onto the Delaware Bay ... not an ocean beach, but enough sand for chairs and way less annoying people!!!
-
Wow!!! I adore all of these daisies, flags and beaches.
Wonder & awe. We just landed back in the WI airpot. Hit the toad for 'home' and I got out my phone to call DD2 -- hadn't talked her during this trip.
Just as I was listening to her voice on her message, I looked up to see a van with the license plate:"YOYO". I squeeled. This was the family name she was given by her big toddler sister 25 years ago.
I'm pretty well fried past exhausted from the trip -- and now I'm smiling from ear-to-ear in my happy stupor.
Love each and every one of you!!!!! -
love you back - I love the yoyo part
-

oooh, that last photo is sooo neat...I love it
-
Thanks Lisa.....When everything lines up just right I bet all you photographers get goose bumps. It's funny how I find myself thinking that would be a wonderful Pic as I am driving home in the morning from work. Looking at the sunrise over our lake where I live! Someday I might remember the camera! LOL! I hope you find a shot like that for us sometime in SoCal land!!!!
-
me too
-
hi julz!!! how is everything in your neck of the woods?
-
Whoooohooooo!!! A rare Julz sighting!!!
I slept like a rock last night and early this morning and on into mid-morning, too!!! LOL
Those of you that wonder how I 'manage'..... it's a balance of going full tilt and then utter collapsing for a bit.
Then rode our bikes. DH coaching me. I did indeed take my first 'incline' up past our fire department and then on further up another incline to the softball field on the edge of town.
This week is gradual little bittie inclines. Next week I plan to conquer my first hill. Then I go to Vegas for a week, but by the end of July I hope I can ride over to Lake MI..... that's where the sunrise is Lisa.
Last night we got home in time to see the rainbow land at our front door step. Seriously amazing.
I took a gazillion photos, tho not one does justice to what was there in real life. Tried all sorts of settings on my camera, but none got nearly the radiance that we were seeing.
There should be a rainbow setting on the Canon camera. LOL.
Elaine. How are you holding up??? Is your room coming together in the re-do, or are you still in the planning stages??
Sharon! I adore your new avatar!! It looks like your beloved is sitting in a field of polka-dots. I bet that they are tulips??? I like thinking that he's surrounded by polka dots. LOL.
Marlegal. Your bay is breath-taking. I want bigger pictures.
Hugs to all beach combers. Past, present and future.
Out to my little 'sun-room-studio' to work on this next quilt. It's underway & I am so excited!!

here is a very "cool" beach...
-
-
Faith, I think that was a "Pat sighting"....
-
Barbe. I couldn't agree with you more.
At the time, I was so exhausted from all of the travel (gate changes in Atlanta yada, yada) .......
We arrive safely home and go down for the evening sunset and there is the rainbow.
At the time, I thought of it as a 'Pat sending' but seeing your description of a 'Pat sighting' makes just as much sense.
It gave me the chance to exhale.

My personal coach/yoga master will be here momentarily..... I am so excited!!!
-
Barbe prompted me to update Saint's two threads here.
Did all of you beach combers get to hear her daughter Molly sing to her heavenly mama?
Molly posted this link on her mom's thread.
She sings, "Wishing you were somehow here again."
She sings heartfelt and with her amazing talent.
Have a tissue ready.

It did me good to listen again this morning.

-
Oh my! That was gorgeously beautiful & requires more than 1 tissue!
-
-
Lisa, what are those?
-
I don't know..some sort of succulents..beach type plants here in S.Cal...
I do know this one
-
Yes, I do too. That's gorgeous.
