ILC and HER2 +1

Hi I am new to this forum and trying to deal with all that I have been going thru this past month.  Opted for a bilateral masectomy with 3 tumors on my left and 1 tumor on the right.  My pathology came back as 99% ER and PR positive with HER2 +1.    Did any of you girls have this?  I am told they consider this HER2 negative but not sure what my course of treatment will be.  All nodes were negative.

    I had IDC but was also ER+/PR+ and Her2+1.  My biopsy sample was sent for FISH testing, the more definitive test for Her2, and it came back highly positive. This is important as Herceptin needs to be a part of treatment for Her2+ cancer.  Ask your oncologist about this.
