More like hourly bse's. Including those few times I wake up at night. Am I the only one obsessed with her bosom? Kinda' hoping this habit ends soon. Surprised Amazed I'm not bruised!

    Julie,

Have you found a lump or something?  Were you diagnosed and concerned? After I was diagnosed and after my surgery, I did go through a period of where I was checking ny good breast more than normally, and finally talked to a fellow co-worker who was also a bc survivor. She told me that if you check too often, you could miss a change. It didn't make sense to me at the time, but since I've moved on, it does. (I'm back to once a month).  Then she convided that she went nuts with be's also. I guess it's normal.

Someone else will come along soon and give you sounder advice.

It was kinda' a tongue-in-check observation of all of it. 3 biopsies, ADH, and fibrocystic changes. Don't know what I'm expecting to find from one hour to the next ...

LOL!  I'm also on a "daily dose of bse"!  Up until 2 weeks ago, I never even bothered to check them...Just a : "once over, okay fine, lumpy breasts anyway so nothing's changed etc"..whenever there was a Breast Cancer Awareness drive or something.

Till GP sent me for the mammo and U/S...now I just seem to be more "aware" of the lumpaties bumpaties then before - and I just feel I have to get to know them better...So I check in with them every evening Laughing

Check this scene for instance : My sis is a VERY private person and never even walks around in her pj's...So, last night I went over, stripped to the waist, took off bra, lifted my arms above my head and said to her : "lyk iets miskien snaaks vir jou" (do you see anything strange/funny)

You should have seen the look she gave me!  SurprisedAnyway, she did say my left breast looks slightly swollen...and now I wish she hadn't!

    chevfan,

You'll find that with time, you'll calm back down, and won't check so often. Right now, it's all scarey, but it does get better with time. Stay vigilant, but try not to drive yourself crazy!

After my doctor had me feel the first lump he found, turned out to be a cyst, I was constantly checking to see if the lump disappeared. I did eventually go back to (more than previously) monthly exams not hourly.

Just when I was getting back to normal...I'd stopped thinking about my breast 24/7 and doing multible daily self exams) I had a follow up with my surgeon who found something new.  Now I have an apt for an ultrasound to check it out and I'm back to daily self exams and stressing!
