Mets to Colon

Options

I just got back from my colonoscopy and they found a lesion approx 2" said it was large in my upper colon-the biopsy will be back next week,Dr. said it didn't look like surgery would be an option becuase of where it was- it originally showed up on my Pet Scan and my CEA was at 225 also my CA27-29 was at 68- The Pet and CT also showed lesions (smaller ones) on my lungs and liver-I had Stage 11 BC Hormone Receptive in 1991 and all scans up to 8 months ago have been clear-My dr. put me on Aromasin since he said the arimidex evidently stopped working I was on it for 3 years-my question is-will the Aromasin still help the colon lesion or has anyone had had mets to the colon and what did they do for treatment.  I am really scared.  Just had a new grandaughter last Friday and would like to be around to see her grow up or at least for a good 10 years.  Thank you for your answers and your prayers

Hi Annie...I'm sorry you find yourself  here.  I can't help you with your question, but I think if you post on the Stage IV forum you'll get more replies.  Best wishes.

Where in the colon is it? I would seek another opinion from a larger facility. Was it seen on an Upper Scope or a colonscopy? If it's small intestine they do remove neoplasms from this area.

It was seen on a colonscopy-I have Kaiser and they did it at an outpatient facility at the Antelope Valley Hospital.  I have an appt. with my oncologist on July 14-I should have the results from the biopsy next week, but then my dr. is on vacation. It wasn't a polop but a lesion that he said he really couldn't reach all of it but that it was larger approx.2"-I haven't seen anything about BC causing colon mets have you?  also after a clear colonscopy 2 years ago this came as a suprise.  It first showed up on the PET.  Do you happen to know what treatments they give for this.  Thank you for your input.  I really appreciate it.
