    Sharon~ Hope you only have good news today! And about the sore ribs....mine got really sore in the months after radiation ended. I called back there and they said the area between the ribs can be inflamed. I had bilateral radiation so both sides were sore. With time it improved but occasionally it flares up. Good luck today~

    Ladies THANK YOU ALL for checking in with me today!

    So I called and spoke with the nurse at my onc this am and she read the report and it said the spine was NORMAL with NO SIGN of metatsises (sp?)!  HURRAY!  I am still worried about the rib pain but am most definitely relieved about the spine.  I left a message for her to call me and am waiting on that right now.  Supposedly the nurse told me last week that she could see the rib area on the spine MRI, but that doesn't really make sense to me, so we'll see.

    I feel so blessed to have you all staying with me on this roller coaster ride.  Hopefully my next post will be nothing but good, happy news!

    I was stage 2, grade 3, her2 Positive+++ and 6 months after exchange surgery began having numbness in my back. Had spinal mri, ct scan, x-rays, etc. and in the end it was not mets so just know that our bodies change after chemo or even surgery sometimes, can change and our hormones go hay wire. Some women in the forums experience bone pain because their estrogen levels are at rock bottom...there are lots of reason, so try to stay positive, not assume the worst (easier said than done, I know) and remain ever hopeful that you are going to get a neg mri! Hang in there and keep us posted!

    depending on the type of surgery you had, pain could be from that. My problems didn't begin until months later after reconstructive surgery/scarring/nerve damage...

    i think lots of us have had rib pain.  mine hurt for about a year.

    To echo some of the comments above - I have extensive bone mets, they show up all over the CT of abdomen/pelvis and chest that have been done  -you had clean CT, so that is a positive! I will keep you in my prayers that your MRI will be clean.
