Am HER2 stage 3 and finished chemo, radiation and have been on herceptin for 1 year now. Just got my new ct and bone scans back and they show a few new lesions in my bone. So the oncol. wants me to continue herceptin indifinatley? Has anyone every heard of this. he also started me on faslodex shots every month. I just havent seen or heard of anyone taking herceptin for that long? Please help with any advise..............

Hvae you been rediagonoised for stage 4???? My Great Aunt who had BC in her late 60's got it back in her liver and has been on herceptin every 3 weeks and her tumor has shrunk to almost nothing, she is 4yrs out!!!!

Giovanna:I would suggest posting on and reading the Her2 Support web site. It's just for her pos women, and there are many who've have taken or are taking herceptin long term.Good luckAnnaanne

I have heard of people getting it indefinately, once they it is in their bones.
As Anna says, try posting this on the HER 2 site, or maybe Stage IV.
