THE 2ND TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS!!

This is from Bryan...Susie update: Things are going slow right now. They are going to take the cathator out again tonight to see what happens. Shes still on clear liquids. Was hoping for real food by now. Still fighting the fever, but still think it was the central. After all the luck getting the IV in earlier, it started leaking. Don't think she'll be home by Friday!
-
Awww poor Susie!
-
Jazzy, thanks for keeping us updated about Susie. I hope things start to heal for her. Sending heartfelt wishes her way...Vegas is right around the corner!
-
Susie, you're in my thoughts and prayers....hang in there!
Robin, So sorry! Every day for 2 years! I feel bad that you are going through this and pray that at least after the 2 years you will be as good as new.
Jazzy, NO, no, no... self diagnosis is the worst thing to do! I know the waiting is hard but put away that CD and trust that everything will be OK. Praying for you and thinking major positive thoughts!
Laura, Hope the PT is doing you some good and you're not hurting.
Terri

Thank you ladies.. I feel fine.. I just... could NOT wrap my head around this.. The PT does not hurt at all... I am... as she says... ridiculously flexible naturally... so all her pressure and directing my arm different ways ( she is trying to break up the amazing amount of scar tissue) does not hurt me at all. So I am doing fine girls....
ROBIN.. I KNEW this was coming for you after that last test you had when we talked. STINKY! At least with you being a nurse.. you can do the shot correctly. GOD SPEED to you
Susie , dear TaTa... My prayer is for you is that you loose the fever... let it go.
Ladies.. Have a WONDERFUL Friday!!
HEY.. anyone hear from KITTYCAT????? The Vegas gal that lives there... starting Chemo of some type..

Laura-- Kitty posted on another thread: her MUGA scan was low (heart rate 46.5 I believe and they like it to be 50 or higher) so she did not start chemo yet
The Adriamiacyn is way to hard on the heart (or is it the Cytoxan?)
-
Adry is hard on the heart... I am so sorry she has to take that drug.. many of us did.. it is HARD.
Thanks Lilah
-
Yes me as well (ACT and H, which is also hard on the heart).
-
Thanks to all of you for the compassionate messages! You all are the best. I haven't started treatement yet; still waiting for insurance approval. These shots are expensive!
Laura, Susie and anyone else who is ailing or troubled - I am wishing you well! Take care, all -- we need to be healthy for Vegas!
-
{{{ROBIN}}} WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!!
This in from Bryan, Susie's hubby: I know, I know, haven't given a Susie update for a few days. Sorry. Dr. said all the test are looking better today. They had to put a tube down her nose to keep her from throwing up. Never any fun! We did hear a little noise from the tummy last night. Just needs a few more days to get things working. Check out day is still up in the air.
Kitty posted on EC: I am getting another MUGA scan tomorrow morning. I hope this time they do it right. I'm hoping to start chemo on Wednesday. On hair loss - my hairdresser told me that she noticed how much hair I lost post surgeries last year. I would get a lot of regrowth a couple months later. I have a lot of fine hair, so I didn't notice it right away. Now that I'm getting chemo I will definitely notice it! LOL!!!
I have my Onc appt on Tues to find out results of my scans...Wed PS and Pulm appts.
Laura keep us posted!
Judy how are YOU doing???
HUGS! Jazzy

Hi Ladies.
I haven't been around for a few days. So much going on. My partner, Lesa was admitted to the hospital on Friday for severe pain in her right arm and shoulder, we knew she had an issue with a bone spur in her neck well it turned out she now had 2 ruptured discs and needed surgery, then on Saturday she went into respiratory arrest and we almost lost her, it was due to the pain med and how much they were giving her, trying to control the pain. It was horrible. They did the surgery Sunday and she is doing much better now.
Im really ready for a vacation.

{{{{{TERESA}}}}}!!!!!! I WILL KEEP YOU BOTH IN MY PRAYERS!!! HUGS!!!!
{{{JUDY}}} SO good to hear you are doing well...those dang blasted tubes! URGH!!! VERY exciting about the baby!! ENJOY!!
Susie update from Bryan: Susie was feeling a little better today. They weren't running the pump in her nose for a while to see if she could handle the stumach acid. If she can, they'll pull the hose tomorrow. Still no dates but Dr. did say things are looking better.
Take care girls!! I think of you every single day!!
HUGS! Jazzy
-
Oh He JUST updated: Susie looked great tonight. Little color back, sitting in a chair, and no hose running down her nose!!!!!!!!

It'll be here before we know it, ladies! btw....do most of you already have plane tickets? If so, when should we plan to arrive and depart? I figured it's probably time to start looking....maybe past time, considering the price hikes and all.....
-
Val -- I'm watching prices now on tickets but planning/hoping to arrive around 1 PM? I think the earliest I can leave in the AM on that Friday is around 8 AM which would get me in around 1 PM LV time. I can't wait!!!
Jazzy -- thanks so much for sharing the good news about Susie! That is GREAT!
Teresa -- so sorry to hear about Leza's horrible time this weekend but SO glad she is doing better. Strength to you and to her!
Hope everyone is doing well!
-
Teresa, Praying for you and Lesa.... what an ordeal! Glad she's doing better.
Val, Sylvia and I are coming in from Montreal on Thursday afternoon and leaving early Monday morning. I would have preferred to leave a little later in the day on Monday but we couldn't get an afternoon flight. Our tickets were $500 each but I'm sure you gals in the US can do much better than that. I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terri
-
Val: I've already booked my flight. I'll be arriving around 1015a on Friday and departing at 930a on Monday. I'm coming from the eastern U.S. and I was able to get a direct flight.

then the next group... Noon-4... same as above...
I will give an ENTIRE listing on this subject in Sept. You all will be sending me info in my PM...

Maybe this year? Is it too late?
-
Caninelover ~ It is NEVER too late to book Vegas!!! Check out the info above and PM Traceyz to get on the list!!! I thought it was too late last year and clearly missed out on a great weekend.
Journey ~ Cheers!!!! Think I had the same day that you did.
