    thanks for bringing this up...I thought about it, and I think I have said this as a form of "whistling in the dark," or as a way to deflect from myself in a conversation.  I certainly wouldn't want to hear "thank God I don't have to do chemo" too many times after having been through it.  Thanks for helping to bring greater understanding of each person's perspective.
