Hospice Journey - Getting rough here

Linda, so glad you're able to get that computer up and running in your bed! Your honesty amazes me and it's so good to hear from you. I like Elizabeth's idea of pain killer laced chocolates, I may have to remember that one!
Tell your sisters we would love to be here for them.
Hugs,
SusanR

I am so glad you can post from bed. I hope your sisters come in for some support. We are ready for them. Hugs to go.... LOL.

Linda,
You have every right to be wild and resentful. Life has dealt you a nasty blow and no one who is well and takes life for granted (as I did before cancer) can posibly understand what it's like to be in your slippers. I amHugz,
Pat

Linda, thinking of you sweetie, and let me tell you , you have every right to be pissed off. I hope you get your pain managed. You have sweet sisters. Sending you good vibes sweetie.

Linda,
I'm so glad you got your computer situation squared away. It made things so much more bearable when I was confined to bed. It beat the hell out of the TV, and made it easier to stay in touch with people on my terms.
I hope you are more comfortable. If not, squeak!
Love & Hugs.

Linda had a really bad day on Monday. Things are better now. She felt better Tueday and Wednesday. Today the pain is pain in her joints and side. I left her sleeping while I am doing a dog walk and let our dogs out. She has company coming this afternoon, so sure hope she is up to it. She sends her love to all and hopes everyone is doing good. Will write more later, so take care and love and peace is being sent your way

Linda did feel better last week. She is having pain in her ribs now and not feeling too good. The nurse will be here on Thur and if it gets any worst or doesn't get any better we will call the nurse. She is really slowing down and has no energy. Been out buying PJ's and looking for slippers for her. The weather here is cold and wet and no sun. So I eat alot. Need that sunshine. Hope all is well for everyone. write ya more later.

Hi Paula,
Thanks for the update. Let kenzie know I am thinking of her. Glad she has her family there to help. Makes such a difference. Hoping the pain subsides. Hugs!

Hi Paula -- I wish it would warm up too! We were in the 80s a couple of weeks ago and today they're predicting wet snow -- WTF?!?!?!??? I'm with you on the eating a lot syndrome!
I'm sorry to hear Linda is feeling poorly -- No fun at all. Hopefully with the new pjs and pain meds, and some sunshine (!!!) she's perk up. Lots of hugs,
Elizabeth

Linda is having to be on oxygen all night and most of the day. She is not in pain. Watching tv and movies and being loved on by her wonderful doggies. The weather has been so nice. She can see out her bedroom window. Two nice size windows. She can walk a little bit with an aid of walker but can't handle a lot.
Thank you for all the hugs and notes.
Paula
-
Thank-you for updating us Paula. It all sounds so peaceful and cosy for Linda, especially the doggies. She had such a tough go getting comfortable, it is a relief to hear she is now. Hugs,
Elizabeth

Hi Paula! I'm so happy to hear Linda is not in pain and has nice doggies who like to snuggle :> I have a cat and his idea of snuggling is him sprawled out on the bed with his feet in the air and you somewhere else!! xx00xx lisa
-
I have a cat that settles in my lap when I am on my back and from there she sprawls out until her head is under my chin and she bonelessly lies all the way down the middle of my body. I already checked and the palliative care facility that I have chosen will allow her to visit for some snugglies. My husband thinks its stupid but most understand the unconditional love the critter has mountains of.

pets are a godsend! so much love and empathy. thinking of you Linda and Paula and sending big wet puppy kisses your way. May you be surrounded by peace and love.
