help, i am newly diagnosed triple neg, stage2a, grade 3, neg.node. have had negative bone scan and bi-lateral mastecomy with latissimus flap reconstruction three weeks ago. Have not started chemo yet, but in course of getting into a trial, i needed two more scans. one of chest and one of abdomen. ct scan showed two areas of concern, one in lungs and one in liver. have had pet/ct scan and onc not concerned about lungs, but now wants a liver biopsy. says the image is not consistent with what he would expect for breast cancer met. it is a single solid mass or nodule and he is not sure what it is. I am very scared and wanting to start treatment

    Hi Lakelady,

Please take a deep breath and try not to borrow trouble.  The lung and liver scans could be something totally unrelated and may not need treatment at all.  Often the scans pick up on things that are not important ....just scary.  I will keep you in my prayers.  Hope to hear back from you soon with good results.

    Take care,

    Nancy
