my special angel was looking over Kelsey and I again. On the way home from the funeral we hit a large bird. It was on the ground walking towards the road so I moved over to the open lane. Just as I did that the darn thing took off in flight and hit my windsheild. I had glass all over myself but luckly no one got hurt. Well except for the darn bird.
you can see how much glass landed between my legs I had this much all over my legs and arms. I drove another 5 miles until I saw a friend behind me and pulled over and had her give us a ride home. Happy to say it's all fixed now : )
-
Wow Sandy -- that is one heck of an angel you've got there! So glad you are ok.
-
Incredible Sandy - glad no one was seriously hurt. How did you ever drive even a little ways with your windshield like that. Take care - Saskie

Hi sweet friends!
Thank you for those who wrote to me wondering where I was..:)
I have Lymphedema. I am really struggling with this emotionally. I start therapy on Monday. I have an amazing PT. I am blessed to have her here in Kansas City.
I just wanted to post here and other places on BCO so that those who are writing to me.. know I am alive.. and what is going on with me. I owe that to you, my dear BC friends!

{{{{LAURA}}}}!!!! We will be with you ALL THE WAY girl! Hang tight....prayers are headed your way!!!
{{{SANDY}}}
I got to talk to Susie tonight. Man oh man ....ugh...well they tried to get the picc line in and just couldn't. I'm so worried about how they are trying BOTH arms!!!! URGH!!! The contrast couldn't go all the way because she already has some blockage, but they were able to get a good enough image. It ends up that she has 2 hernias!!! Poor thing she has gained 20 pounds and that alone will depress anyone!! The doctors are not too sure what they are going to do, but she is scheduled for surgery Monday. They gave her a weekend pass so she could be with her family and watch Aroura in her recital on sunday. She is on a liquid diet until surgery. They will decide once they get inside to determine what they will do. She sounded good and as usual was making jokes about it all, but I know how aggravated she is and how she just wants to move on with her life...LIKE THE REST OF US!!! She has definitely had her share of bad luck.
Thanks to all of the love we have for eachother here on our TaTa site.....LOVE~HUGS~THOUGHTS~PRAYERS AND POSITIVE VIBES!!!
THE TATA SISTERHOOD ROCKS!!!!
HUGS! Jazzy

Laura I am so sorry that you have now joined the Swell sorority. As if BC was not enough a few of us get to carry on with LE too. If you have not already please check out the Lymphedema After Surgery forum. We have a wonderful expert over there who helps keep us up with the latest. Do you know what level you are? I'm lucky to be the lowest, but can tell you even at that I have days when this %&$# makes me batty as all get out....wait, I'm supposed to be making you feel better - right, sorry
Just know you are NOT alone, and with therapy and compression you'll be able to cope. To all our other non LE sisters out there please understand that this is lifetime stuff. No cure for it right now.
-
The sun is shining...let's be thankful. :-)
-
Oh gosh Journey so sorry to hear that -- but there IS a host of treatments than help keep things under control, isn't there? Sending prayers to both you and Laura for reduction of pain and swelling SOON!
-
Wow Sandy! That's quite a bit of research there! I couldn't see the pics, but I'm sure it's lovely. Yolos sounds interesting, as does Koi. But then I'm pretty easy as far as food goes. I'm just not into junk food much, or steak. As for lounges, I'm up for whatever! I don't need celebrities, I just really want to connect with all of you!
Laura, HUGS, sweetie. I hope you are able to find some relief. I've heard some good things about PT for lymph.
Jazzy, I'm glad Susie got the weekend to see her daughter. I'll be thinking of her for her surgery.
-
Sandy, certainly looks like there won't be a shortage of food choices! Thanks for the info...!
Laura, Hugs and I hope you can find some PT that works best for your lymphedema and that it's soon under control.
Terri

(((((Laura)))))) I am so sorry that you are having to deal with LE. Been thinking of you since you posted this what a couple of days ago?
Had dinner with my dh for the first time since he got back from Morocco. He asked me if I was going to Texas to see my granny. I replied "I haven't decided but by the way, I am going to Las Vegas in October, I already signed up for the trip and I am staying with the same gals again. Apparently he has American Express rewards to purchase my plane ticket and he was A-ok with me going again, he just gave me a warning about not drinking too much - LOL.
