In limbo!
Hi my name is Rhiannon I am a28 year old mother of 7. I am looking for answers in any way that I can possibly get them. I am hopefully that some one may have a better understanding to where I am at,friends, doctors and family all say "don't stress it only makes it worse. About 6 months ago I felt a small lump on my right breast,I asked my husband if he could also feel it,I think in that moment he thought I was crazy.I passed it as just my imagination.3 nights ago while lying down I felt a lump in the area between my right breast and my arm pit , it felt like a bb, or a solid small hard rock.I felt closer to my breast area and realized that the small lump I felt 6 months ago was much larger and much more defined and the lumps also were very hard. I immediately went to the Dr. the next morning. My Dr.sent a request to the local hospital to get me scheduled for an ultra-sound. But that is still a week away. My problem is patience, I hate limbo, its worse then just knowing, what you are up against.I have read for 2 days straight on the Internet and so many sites contradict what the last site says. I am very frustrated ,I tried to attempt to complete a full at home breast exam.On a few sites it says that your nipples will have discharge. When I applied pressure o my right nipple I did get some discharge, not a lot. I know that you may not be able to tell me whats going to happen or if it is cancer, but any percentage rates or feedback you may have through your experience will be so much more then I have now.I feel lost.I feel alone and scared and I am tired of people telling me not to worry. I am up for what ever challenge is thrown at me,just not the waiting game. And one last thing, when I raise my arms my nipples to change in size and texture, for all I know they could have always done that,I just never payed attention:)

AZ- Welcome, I"m sorry you are having to go thru this, the waiting is the hard part too. 80% of lumps are B9 meaning NOT cancer- there are a lot of woman who come here with your fears and report back that every thing was fine. If they do find anything on the ultra sound the next step would be a biopsy, I wouldnt recommend reading anything on BC it will just make you crazy, not every one gets discharge, I didnt, You will find lots of caring supportive woman here who will walk you thru this is you test positive, for now try to breathe, maybe your dr, will give you something to relax you and help you thru this while you wait, xanax did wonders for me, Please let us know how you are doing, we are all here for you to ease your fears and help you thru this
angel hugs,
debbie
